Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening and breakfast.

Curt, weather on!

Larry, good luck with the washer repair.  Wow, only two years old.

Tom, wishing you a fun day in the shed.

Karl, hope the northern command isn't too northern.

Ron, good luck with the drive home.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a rainy day in Georgia.  Yesterday I finished one section of the retaining wall.  More work on the remaining two sections today, plus painting the sheriff's office.

Have fun,
mike

Wind ~18 per and temp in the teens as well.  :o No plans here for venturing out.  Took care of that yesterday. It looks like a windswept plain out across the state hwy to the east :o ...new snow blowing around.  looked a bit later, 2-3" of new stuff blowing around

Bench time for sure. ;D

Lay low everyone, it's not going to be a fun weekend.  :-\

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
Blueberry pancakes for breakfast today.
Sides of crispy bacon and sausage are out too.
Of course fresh churned Wisconsin butter and real Michigan maple syrup are available.

Jerry, Philip, Marty and everyone else in the path of the storm, sty safe and be prepared.

Ron, staining and decaling get done?

Karl, that is a frosty but beautiful photo.

Mike, any progress on the sheriff's office?

Larry, hope the wash machine fix went well.

Curt, maybe do 3.9 miles every day.

TomO, all good in Wisconsin?

James, what's new?

Greg, haven't heard from you win a long time.

Because of the rain nothing happened outside yesterday.
I did get motivated and edited and posted my video at the Tonopah Historic Mining Park.
There should be some good inspiration for a mining scene to build.
A 5 mile hike planned for this morning.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast this am.Frrom what I've seen about this Nor'easter coming I hope you're far enough south to avoid it. The washing machine repair took a whole 20 minute from start to finish. The Control computer was shot which was a "plug & play" scenario; works like new now and didn't cost me any $.

Jim nice prints.

What's your plans today.

It's 19 and that's about it for the day. Taking our trash shortly then planning on staying put for the weekend. Some Lake Effect after 10am into tomorrow and cold. Sunday night into Monday we get hit by the storm; they're not giving any snow totals yet BUT could be 12+ inches; going to be a frigid and nasty weekend with wind chills around -14; yikes!! Some bench time later today.

Have a great day!! Be ready for what's coming, keep warm, keep your pets inside, and hunker down.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Great video. I can't do that every day because of my knees. In a previous life I jogged every day and ran half marathons and even one marathon (photo to prove it).

Starting out in the 50's heading into the 70's again. I believe it's supposed to get in the 80's this weekend.

I hope everyone stays safe and warm in the coming storm.

Here's a photo of my weathering endeavors. The 3 planks were done yesterday and the 2 planks was done several days ago.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, nice video of the mine and surrounding area. Thanks for sharing.

Curt, hold tight to the wallet.

Larry, that's just way to cold for me. It will be in the mid to high 30's next week here and that is plenty cold for us'ins.

I got a lot done on the Koontz build yesterday and will get it finished today. Updated post later this afternoon.

Have a safe and warm day everyone.

Nice weathering indeed....moving into the weather, it is -5 and the wind reported to be 14 per... :o  but the SUN is Shining! Chill in the negative teens... We have about an inch of new snow that fell the last 24 hours with off and on lake effect bands. Forecast shows the warmest day in the next 8 as a 16 a week off. TomO in Wisc will report much colder.

I'm working on trestle bents today, going along ok.  I hope I don't bend any.  ;)  Sure lots of sticks.

Unless something urgent comes along today is one you can list us as Shut Ins but no pity please, we're just fine.

KSinMI, Brrrr...

Curt the wood looks fine.

Tom looking forward to the finished  build.

Morning Terry.

Karl looking forward to updates on the Trestle.

Weather here in South Jersey is sunny/35.  Later on 41.
The outlook for the big storm is "Weather Weenies" have no idea !!
First it's snow than a mix than it's anywhere from 1" to 24" so who knows????

Maybe some time at the bench which I say everyday but never works out that way!!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Current temperature is -16c (3f) and sunny.  The white stuff is supposed to hit Sunday.  No modeling last night as I got a call from my buddy who is in a band who was playing at a pub near by so I ended up drinking beer and listening to great music.  No work today so I should get some time at the work bench.

Have a great day everyone.
