Good morning, all. The storm went out to sea well South of the NH seacoast and it's 20-ish and shadows are visible through high clouds.

I've been curious about Tucumcari ever since I first read about the Golden State Route. But I was too young to ride that train, Amtrak didn't take the route on and I never had any business within 200 miles. Now the Rock Island has been gone 45 years. I remember my more-or-less S scale Rock Island E7 A-B-A set from my O tinplate cays.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Starting out at 32F with a feel like of 26F. It should start warming up a bit, but later in the week it's supposed to be in the 30's again. Yesterday I realized I hadn't colored enough wood so that's what I did.

I forgot to mention yesterday that Dad managed to slice open his leg on the car door corner (Saturday) not paying attention getting into the car (again), but this time it required 11 sutures and a trip to the Urgent Care followed by the ER. That's about 5 hours I'll never get back.

Today MOH and I have the Ft. Lauderdale run to pick up the 2 animals, so it will basically be a wasted day for anything
else.

And so it continues.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sorry to hear about your Dad's leg; hope it heals quickly. I've had those days where modeling is the last thing on the agenda if at all.

What's your plans for today.

It's currently 0 with a high of 26; ya right. Grocery shopping soon then early afternoon taking Ellie for her 6 month checkup then probably a stop for subs before returning home. I most likely won't see the bench today but it's not going anywhere.

Have a great day!! Be well and keep warm.

30o warmer :o  this morning, it's a fine blistering 20o with a snow front moving in for most of the day, dull grey sky completes the turn around from yesterday's clear but COLD.  Today will still be cold. :(

I spend a couple hours on the lay out yesterday, took the cutting tools to a large 180o loop and moved it all 6-7 inches straight out to, hopefully give the trestle room to contribute.  I wasn't aware of the width of the 'footprint' of the bents when I got into the project.  In order to accomplish the slice and dice I had to remove the base and support for the roundhouse and turntable I had roughed in.  Plan on more work on that project later.

Enjoy the day all, be safe.

Best with the stones, Rick...you posted while I was composing.  Not fun I'm sure.  This too, shall pass....(poor pun, sorry)

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt, but I've already had a bowl of oat meal with honey. The OJ is nice and fresh though. Safe travels to The Dale. Very sorry to hear of Tim's leg and hope the recovery is smooth. I know you know that it will get even more trying as the time goes by.

I'm in the train shed this morning working on the '25 Winter Challenge. Update later this afternoon.

Rick, sorry to hear of your ER visit, hopefully something can be done.

Have a safe, warm and happy day everyone.

The GREEN is rough idea of trestle.

The different elevations don't translate well in the photo. :-\

Someday I'll, hopefully, shut off the mind and fill in the landmasses and run trains.   ???

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Starting out here at 36F. I'll wait until around 9 a.m. to do my morning walk when it's supposed to be in the 40's which is cold but bearable bundled up. Yesterday nothing was accomplished beyond the transport. We have 2 very unhappy skunks in our dining room but at least they are eating. They should be going to their permanent home Saturday.

Today I hope to finish the bracing on the barn walls. No other plans.

Rick I hope you are feeling better and out of the hospital.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Have and safe, warm and healthy day everyone.
