Good morning Curt, Mike, James, Larry, Rick and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.

Current weather here is -24c (-11f) with blue skies, it should get warmer tomorrow.  Started on the rigging shed by distressing and staining wood.  Posted an update on my build thread while watching the Superbowl.  There will be no modeling tonight as Monday nights are "other interest" night.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

I didn't watch the SB yesterday out of protest. I have a problem with half-time entertainers that say they hate America and that I needed to learn Spanish to hear the half-time program.

The fence climbing gator wasn't in my back yard. The photo was sent to me by a friend. He said it was taken during the mating season for gators, so, Mr. Gator was after some gator stuff!

I had two skin biopsies taken this morning so I need to get my leg elevated for a few hours and then I can get back to the train shed. Being a Fl. Cracker, I've had these things taken off multiple times. Can't count all the skin cancer I've  had removed from my arms and legs over the past 30 years. Part of growing up in the Fl. Sun as a teenager and young adult and not using sun screen.

Hope all have a safe and healthy day.

Still cold and grey today in Michigan, half a dozen deer overnighted under our pines last night, weather chick said there have only been 4 hours in the last 20 something days with temp above freezing...might have some this week but not today, 20s will be it with some wind.  This has been a real winter like we remember from childhood, except all the wheeny school systems have used up all their snow days, rare for any of that for my time, of course the mile walk uphill both ways made us strong winter warriors!  ::)

Saw the game, muted the half time abomination and checked email and looked in here.  Watched an hour or so of skiing and skating after the game.  Don't fret, Mike, the LIONS haven't been even close to being in the last 60 games...

I'm going to make a couple more bridge bents today, then maybe some layout time, not sure.  The fence around the Doll's coffee will power is really weak, whine is high pitched... ::)

Rick, Skylink has worked terrific, seems not to be quite as fast as it was to begin with but sooo much better than the hardwire dsl I was stuck with.  Also no weather issues like our TV used to have, the antenna has a low level heater that removes a lot of the snow or ice.  Only once have I brushed anything off of it.  Elon has a winner with that project.

All I have for today.  Later, gators et al..

I'm not interested in popular culture, independent of the language.  When I hear "Bad Bunny", all I can think is "someone let the dogs out"  ;D  (That's NOT a political statement, I'm just sick of hearing about him.)

I did a quick door casting hack for the farmhouse, see the latest post on my build thread.  After German (Zoom), I'll head back down, prime the castings, and then maybe assemble the kit doors.  This is the detail work that will make the kit pop.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Currently 49F and getting to 79F today. :o  The main thing today is Dad needs to go back to the ER. Joy. It's a good thing he has great medical insurance. Yesterday wasn't the greatest at the workbench. I applied the large rub off sign and to me it looks like crap. I may be able to make it look weathered. I'm not sure yet. After that I applied a whitewash on the walls.

This beauty came in the mail for me.

That's all I have today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Hope your Dad's apt. goes well. Yup that's a real beauty; should be a fun project.

It's 14 with a high of 36; finally back to double digits AND above freezing. Maybe it'll help melt/settle the white crap. Errands to run shortly then maybe some bench time later; maybe.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

Good morning Curt and Larry.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, that is a nice mail delivery you got yesterday.  I've been thinking of getting me a couple of those but shipping to Canada is expensive.  I still might bite the bullet though.

Larry, hope the errands don't take too long and you make it to the bench.

Current weather here is -16c (3f), overcast with 4-6" of the white stuff in the forecast, it's a work from home day today.

No modeling last night but construction is ready to start on the second building of the challenge build and seeing as I don't have to commute today, I just might start construction tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Dave, looking forward to your update.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a hazy morning at 50°F, but warming to 74°F.  Finally, back to normal.

G'moanin' y'all! SUN and bright in Michigan this morning.  8) It has already reached 30o for the first time in a fair bit.  The lil brunette on the tv said clouds today, a fair bit of wind, also in the 30s, but so far it's not materialized.  Warm up ever so slight this week.  Back roads will be treacherous as the ice glazes over.

I smell coffee this morning... ::) but I guess Will Power is only a race driver, lol, only going to have one cup... ;) OK.

I made 4 more trestle bents and still not sure how I am going to accomplish the project.  AI doesn't do it for me.  Actually leaving that Geenie in the bottle for the time being. My problem is the track is already in place, I need to build and support the scenery and structure beneath it. It too shall happen.

Curt, open the box, love to see what cha got to look forward 'playing' with.  Those old Macks are cool!

Good day all!

KarlS ;)
