Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Wishing you a great day at the bench.

Rick, good luck at the urologist.  As much as you exercise and walk, I'm not surprised you aren't sore today.

Karl, congrats on the bridge work.  I was surprised at the game outcome.

TomACL, wishing you a good day at the flea market.

Larry, good luck with the 1:1 project.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 46°F, headed to 64°F.  I'll spend some time today working on the PO.  I selected a freight car to build next and am designing a hotel for a future structure build.

Since I do all our cooking, Sharon volunteered to cook our Valentines Day meal.  It will be delicious, she is a marvelous coook.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning Curt, Rick, Karl, ACLTom, Larry, Mike, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.  While I like OJ, I prefer grapefruit juice, always have.  Have fun at the bench today.

Rick, You hike a lot, you're in better shape than you realize, good luck at the urologist next week.

Karl, we need pictures of the trestle build.  Great sunrise pic BTW.

ACLTom, have fun at the flea market, one never knows what one will find there.

Larry, glad to hear the 1:1 is going well and that Ellie is pleased with it.

Mike, have fun working on the car project.

Jerry, enjoy your day and I hope you make it to the bench today and figure out the wood colour you want to use.

Current temperature is -2c (28f) and cloudy, definitely short and t-shirt weather here.  Worked on the challenge build yesterday and got the 4 walls planked.  I already went to the vet to get Gracie's medicine and made a coffee run.  Later I need to walk Gracie and do a grocery run as Monday is a holiday here.  After all that is done it will be more bench time and hopefully I'll post an update to my challenge build thread.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 64F and headed to 82F and thunderstorms later. We need the rain.

Yesterday I finished coloring the walls, did another rub off sign which worked much better and sprayed a light brown on the doors and windows. Coloring of them will continue after chores. I'll do an update after I get them installed.

That's all I got.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Just letting everyone here know I'm taking an extended break from posting anything on the internet.
I'm fine, I'm not ill, I just need a mental break from the world.

I'll see you all again at some point.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun with the kit.

Rick I think we all need a break from the internet every now and then. See you when you get back.

What's the rest of you up to.

It's 27 with a high of 40, melt baby melt. Haven't been at the bench for a week but hope to remedy that today. Taking a rest day for my lower back then I'll get back at the 1:1 project Monday.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good morning Curt, Rick, Larry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, looking forward to the update.

Rick, Take all the time you need, we will be here when you post again.

Larry, a break from 1:1 stuff is good, have fun at the bench.

Current temperate is -13c (9f) with sunny skies, supposed to hit -6 (21f) later today.  I didn't get as much done on the build as I had hoped as 1:1 stuff got in the way, but the walls are glued together, after this I'll post an update.  After the update the Mrs wants me to installing new lighting in her craft room but should get to the bench after that.

Have a great day everyone.

Mid 20s and SUN! in Michigan this morning.  Little if anything to shout about, really.  Hopefully a nice day all day.  Melting snow.

Missed a deer by about one layer of dust on the truck last evening coming home from a day out and about with the Doll.  With a fair bit of open ground showing they were out in the fields by the dozens and dozens it looked like the fall's corn fields were getting a lot of their attention. Some areas looked like livestock feed lots.  The state needs to open up the hunting season for a couple years to thin them out.  My last "minor" deer hit cost over $3,000, I can't imagine the cost for repairs around the state.

WE have maybe 4-5 inches of snow left on level areas, the snowblower discharge area still is deeper.  With the weather rerports, much will be a memory by the end of this week.

NASCAR starts in earnest today, they've moved the start time up to 1:30, I understand, saying there is a weather chance.  They've suffered from weather delays in recent times.  IMG_3176.jpeg

Ron, here's the rebuilt part I did on the trestle project. I need to get at scenery to place it all.

Close to home the plans for today.  Everyone enjoy.  Be well.

I'll miss Rick and his photos. Hopefully he'll be doing more photography and we'll get a new set of great photos when he returns.

Yesterday's dinner tasted good, I made Scallops Tostadas.  But something in there was off, and I had an unpleasant night.  So I'll toss the leftover onions, lettuce, guacamole, etc.  Sigh...

Today's goal is to get the windows installed and then glue the walls together.  I've noticed on BEST kits the windows are always cut slightly undersized, so they need some significant sanding to get the window castings to fit.  I cut a sanding stick slightly smaller than the window opening, so sanding is as efficient as it can be to enlarge the window opening.

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Rick will be missing you and the photo's every morning.

Larry a week off I hope you didn't forgot how to model?  ;)

Ron good to keep the little lady happy.

Mike hope you make it upstairs.
Wasn't that a song?

Karl glad you missed the deer.
And very nice work on the trestle.

Dave good luck with the windows.

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/40.  Later 42.
There talking rain so maybe this ice pack will melt some.
It should be a good day to sit at the bench I hope.  Will see.

Good morning, all. Bright sun in the lower Merrimack Valley, on the way from the teens to the mid-30s.  Karl, I also had a deer scare fetching the kid last night - standing in my lane, back to me, didn't move till I hit the brakes and horn.  There are probably a lot of them in my woods; they yard up in a hemlock grove that so far has survived the adelgid.  The kid and some classmates are going to try snowshoes this afternoon., I'll try to keep them on a route which won't panic the deer too badly.

Not much modeling for me today, between tax paperwork, company and snowshoes.
