Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. I'll just have some OJ this morning.

I averaged 185 in bowling yesterday but we still only took 2 points. The other team bowled way over their averages.

Feel very run down this morning so I'll take the day to rest and not push it.

Have a safe, warm and happy day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Currently 51 in Rimrock, which is just outside of Sedona.
Mostly sunny and 75 later.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Any thoughts on another roofing style?

ACLTom, It is very frustrating when the team you're bowling against is bowling above their averages.

Jerry, you can't go wrong with a Jersey hard roll.
Take it easy with the shoveling and I hear more is coming.

Karl, don't let the layout frustrate you.
Keep plugging along.

Ron, do they pronounce your town Pres-cot or Pres-cut?
Here they call it Pres-cut.

Dave, that's an amazing looking church.

Larry, hope you get more bench time today.

James, Arizona is very diverse.
It's not all desert and the largest Ponderosa forest in the US is in Arizona.

Mike, hope you're traveling safely.

Philip, how's things?

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Star and I enjoyed our 4.77 mile hike yesterday on the Wolverton-Quartz Loop.
I did see a lot of quartz on the trail.
Afterward I drove to a town just outside of Sedona.
I'll stay here all day and take a break.
Tomorrow another hike is planned in Sedona.

One more picture from Vulture Peak.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Curt sorry to hear the shingled roof is a non starter and yes a large roof can be very tedious to do; maybe think about Ron's suggestion of a "board and batten" roof; it goes much quicker than shingles.

Tom get some rest and hope you feel better.

Rick enjoy the restfully and great photo.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 30 with a high of 39 with a couple inches of white crap overnight. Today I'll be working on the 1:1 project and may have to deal with the driveway first. Bench time probably won't happen.

Have a great day!! Be well and easy if you're digging out from the weekend.

Something domestic for today.  This is from Gettysburg, at the corner of the Wheatfield across from the Peach Orchard.  It's my favorite monument.

Light snow, enough to cover the roads and make things slippery today.  The dogs are off at the groomers, so the house is unnaturally quiet.  After some time on the exercise machine, I'll finish attaching the roofs on the farmhouse.  Yesterday I just did the annex roof, which still had some warp in it, and let that dry thoroughly.

add A cartoon for Curt:

A friend lost one of his dogs yesterday.  He didn't realize it had kidney problems when they adopted her.  I told him, "You gave that dog The Best Life.  Food, shelter, a loving pack of humans and canines, lots of time running and hunting.  It wasn't as long as you wanted, but it was really high quality." (The dog was an American Pointer.)

Some sun, pretty well gone now, wind and cold the forecast today for my part of Michigan, temps dropping a few degres, from current ~30o and winds in the 15-30 mph.

Plugging away with layout stuff.  Made a couple more trestle bents yesterday, one to do.  Yesterday 1:1 life intruded, visitation for a friend, father figure, of the Doll's.  91 years in the house he was born in on the river in the town.  Grocery shopping in the mid afternoon.

Rick, they have their own way of talk out there, the main town N of you where the Super Chief used to run is referred to as "Flag" with the staff left in the dust. Not that I'm an expert on Arizonian by any means.  Here just down the road our county seat is Charlotte, Shar-LOT unlike Shar'-lut in NoCar...but then it's also know locally by some as CharTucky, y'all.  That Sadona area appears to be quite beautiful from photos I've seen.  I can remember the slick color periodical Arizona Highways
from my childhood.  I've not kept up on if it is still produced.  Such beautiful photos they used to have.

Little new here.  Hopefully the snow is relaxing the NE, while our local weather goon showed what he said was some weather passing our Northern portions that might bring more snow out there.  Easy does it all, safety first.

Dave there's cartoon for me doesn't load. I'll try again later.

Larry the roofing is great and I really like the look. Doing tedious things when modeling is a fact of life at times. My no-go was my crooked rows that I think would look like **** over a large area.

Morning crew. Working on my third cup of coffee and the wife's raisin and molasses cookies.

Tonight is New Tracks Modeling night. I'll be presenting part two of my HOn30 diesel cabs that were a tribute to "Geezer". I'll be presenting adding some detail, two types of motor drive systems, and a paint job. These are the HOn30 engines I presented here in a thread. I will also be presenting some soldering tricks in making a TT scale antenna for an Erie caboose, plus custom built windows for a Syudam engine house using some soldering techniques and fixtures. This will be in the "My Build" segment of the Zoom meet.

If you are interested there are three ways you can watch the whole NTM featuring presenters with there modeling techniques, layout visits, plus guest speakers like Bob Banta who will be presenting a build-a-long  on April first.

You can go to the NTM website and sign up to receive a link to join A Zoom meeting, watch it live on You Tube or watch it at your convenance on You-Tube at New Tracks Modeling.

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for breakfast & coffee.

Tom everyone once in awhile you just have to kick back,  Feel better.

Rick where's the vultures?  ;D
Nothing like a good hard roll.
Great picture.

Larry go easy on the driveway.

Great picture Dave.  It is an interesting park to go to.
Cartoon is funny.
Sorry about your friends dog.

Karl we need an update on the trstle.

Weather in South Jersey after the 22" yesterday we got a dusting last night for good measure.
And there saying 1 to more on Thursday.
Which means the "RODENT" was right with his 6 more weeks of winter.
After shoveling and with the neighbors help the driveway is clean.
They still haven't come to do the driveways so everyone did there own.

Maybe some time at the bench today I hope.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Good morning crew,

I usually listen to NTM every Wednesday while I'm doing resin casting in the shop. Kind of grows on ya.

Warmer here today in KY.

Feeding the birds is my highlight of the last few day. Plenty of Cardinals, Woodpeckers, Blue jays, Doves, and  Starlings.

Good morning Curt, ACLTom, Rick, Larry, Dave, Karl, Bernd, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hope you get the roof material sorted out.

Tom, enjoy your day relaxing.

Rick, here it is pronounced Pres-cot. Enjoy your day of rest.

Larry, hope the 1:1 project goes well.

Dave, sorry to hear about your friend's dog.

Karl, sounds like you made great progress on your trestle build.

Bernd, glad to see you stop in, sounds like an interesting clinic you will presenting tonight.

Jerry, good to here you had help with the driveway, hope you make it to the bench today.

Current temperature here is -7c (19f) with white stuff falling from the skies.  I did manage a little bench time last night where I stained the material for the shingles required for the roof.  I also glued the LED for the interior lighting to the middle roof truss and glued the truss in place.  We shall see what tonight brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Trying to help diversify with some subject content. When I first joined the NTM Zoom group it was pretty much wooden scratch built buildings, weathering, scenery, some 3D printing and so for. Now with the third regime change the guy running it is looking for more diversified material. Model railroading has a large tent with many different subjects.
