The market (Souk) in Marrakesh:

In general, people did not like having their picture taken, but this guy let me take a photo of his cat.  (I showed him the photo afterwards, to verify that's all I captured.  He appreciated that.)

I'm back from German and finishing lunch.  In the train room, I'll do some more work on the boxcar kit and the scenery around the farm.

Good morning everyone.

50 right now in Rimrock, sunny and 73 later.

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
Breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs, chorizo, cheddar and salsa for breakfast today.

Mike, the forum loves you too.

Dave, interesting photo of the market.
Did you find out about the citizens not wanted to be photographed?

Philip, thanks for the musical memory.

Larry, has all the s%^$ melted?

Ron, I watched episode 3 last night.

Karl, hope the new soldering iron meets expectations.

Larry, I enjoyed your update.

ACLTom, hope you and your leg are doing fine.

TomO, you've been quiet.

Curt, any more kit progress?

How's everyone else.

Star and I had a very enjoyable hike in Walnut Canyon.
Afterward I continued south on 17 and parked in the same spot I did last week.
There's a hike I'll do tomorrow that's a mile down the road.

This was near the start of the first hike I did at Petrified Forest NP.
We continued down into the valley and hiked another 2+ miles into the desert.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Pretty landscape. Enjoy the next hike.

Started out the day with a walk at 61F with it heading to around 80F today. I watched the lunar eclipse during my walk. I tried taking photos but you can't see anything but a white dot. :-*

Yesterday I received the roofing for the barn and re-did the office roof including rafter tails. It looks correct now.

Today I hope to shingle the barn roof. This afternoon I'm meeting up with Terry (Vietnam Seabee) for coffee and conversation.

That's all That's happening this way.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. My leg surgery is today at 12 noon. The Petrified Forest is a neat place, I was last there in 1956.

Have a safe, happy and modeling filled day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast and enjoy your next hike. To answer your question: not even close considering I have 5 ft. deep snow around the driveway and the back of the house. Thanks, glad you liked the update. Beautiful photo.

Curt nice to hear the roofing is working out for you.

Tom best of luck on the leg procedure and hope you heal quickly.

What's on your plate today.

It's a sunny 22 with a high of 39. By Saturday it's projected to hit 61!!!! yehaw!!!!!!!!!! Some errands to run shortly then hopefully some bench time. That's it from here.

Have an enjoyable day!! Be well.

The plumbers are coming in a bit to fix the up-flushing system in the basement.  That will give me back the sink in the train workshop, so I don't have to go upstairs to clean a paintbrush.  When they're done, I'll get back to work on the boxcar kit.

p.s.  you can tell how old this photo is by the cars in front, 1999 :-)

25o and Severe Clear here..in the mitten.  Perfect sugaring weather in Vermontville.  We passed thru there recently and they have all the trees tapped and a community wide effort in collecting the sap and cooking it.

The eye deal for the Doll does look like they manage to use $$$$  :o in their recompense that will be done in April and May, so I need beef up my 'rainy day' funds.

The soldering unit arrived, appears to be solidly constructed and I look forward to getting to try it out.  Just need time.

Little to add this morning.  Everyone enjoy their day.

Mike, I really do, as well.

Good morning Rick, Curt, ACLTom, Larry, Dave, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, enjoy your day.

Curt, hope you get the shingles on the roof today.

Tom, good luck with the operation today.

Larry, with weather like that the white stuff should be gone soon.

Dave, hope the plumbing work isn't too hard on the wallet, and have fun with the boxcar kit.

Kark, looking forward to your review on your new soldering pen.

Current temperature is -4c (25f) with blue skies.  The high today is supposed to hit 1c (34f) with above freezing temperatures for the rest of the week.  Saturday is supposed to get to 10c (50f)  No modeling last night, but the plan tonight is to work on the rigging shed after supper and maybe continue to paint the detail pieces I started.

Have a great day everyone.
