Good Morning,

Mike thanks for the coffee this morning. Sounds like a worthwhile program for the kids. Save travels and enjoy the game and feast.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a sunny 64 with a high of 78. Have 5 tons of fill coming this am to fill in an old empty septic tank just off the driveway. After my neighbor went through it last winter with his plow I decided to have it filled in and be done with it once and for all. Hopefully the 10 wheeler can get most of it in the hole; that'll save me a lot of backaches. Doubt any modeling will get done today.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good morning everyone.

48 in Virgin now, sun, clouds and wind today with a high of 72.

Mike, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and Happy Birthday to your daughter.
That sounds like a great group to donate to and enjoy your meal and ball game.

Larry, hope you don't have to do a lot of shoveling.

Jerry, is the mulching done?

Karl, hope you stay safe from all that nasty weather.

ACLTom, don't over do it with the dirt.

Dave, how was the pot luck?

Curt, great update on the shed.

Hope everyone else is well.

Star and I did our hike yesterday.
6.2 miles and 1,171' EG on the Eagle Grass Trail.
There were some great views but the light was terrible and not sure how good the photos will be.
Just chilling at camp today.

This is my view at camp.

Good Morning All,

Mike thanks for opening and breakfast. Definitely a worthwhile cause. Enjoy the festivities with your family.

Started out the day with a walk in the 60's heading to high 80's today. Yesterday I finished the shed roof so that is in standby until I'm detailing the diorama. After the roof I grained wood for the fences. The fences are the last structural component before starting on details.

This morning after dropping of Dad for his trip MOH and I have several errands to do. After that I hope to color the wood that I grained yesterday.

Larry I wish you the best but my back hurts just thinking about moving all that dirt.

Rick I'm very close mentally to removing the MRR things off the wood framing and turning it into a base for individual dioramas.

I hope everyone has a good day.

::) Still wet, still raining to add to it.

Rebuilt a Proto 2k GP30 on the bench yesterday.  Scenic work on the layout. Read.

Good afternoon everyone.

Just got back from the hospital and thought I would give an update on the Mrs.  She is doing much better and after kidney and liver issues which apparently is a common side effect of the surgery.  Right now they are waiting for her kidney numbers to get to normal levels.  Looks like she will be released on Monday.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Ron, excellent news for your wife. I hope it continues to go well.

Breakfast is on the buffet so help your selves. Scrambled eggs, with link or sausage patties, southern style grits and sliced bacon. Fresh Fl. OJ along with coffee. Fruit bowls on the end for those cutting back.

I got the dirt spread - took six hours but it is done. I'll go and order/pay for the sod this morning. Surprisingly, I'm not sore this morning. I guess the last two weeks of digging out the old sod helped. Anyway, that is the second project finished and now I just have the 1600 sq. ft. of St. Augustine sod to lay - when it comes.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Tom you're up early! Thanks for the coffee and tasty breakfast. I feel your pain, or lack of, about the yard work. The sod sounds like a chore and a half.

Ron fantastic news on the Mrs.

What's your plans.

It's a rainy 57 with a high of 65. I think the gravel people were a little over zealous on their estimation of fill. Long story short the hole used about 3 tons of fill and I have about 2 tons to move myself; looks like my dump cart and tractor will be getting a workout this spring as well as myself. No modeling yesterday but maybe today if it continues to rain.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Tom. That is some work you are putting into your yard, but I know how you feel about it. Just remember to listen to your body while outside.

Starting out here in the 60's heading to the high 80's. Yesterday I colored the wood for the fence and built the framing for the 8 sections.

Today I have chores and errands and hope to start putting planks on the frames.

Ron great news. Hopefully it will be sooner.

Larry too bad you don't live locally because I can use some fill in the back yard.

Nothing else going on today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

39 in Virgin now, 64 later and sunny but extremely windy.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph.  :o

ACLTom, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and glad you are not sore.

Curt, hope you get to work on those planks.

Larry, hope moving all that dirt goes well.

Ron, that's excellent news about your wife and hope she can come home sooner than later.

Jerry, what's new in NJ?

Karl, nice job on the GP30 rebuild.

Mike, how was the ball game?

How's everyone else doing.

Nothing much happened here yesterday.
Had a hike planned for this morning, but with all this wind I won't be doing that.
Don't want to get blown off the side of the mountain.
So instead I think I'll head back to Hurricane (seems like the appropriate place to be today with all this wind) and hit the gym and do a little resupply.
Then start making my way north towards SLC.

This is from the hike on Wednesday on the Eagle Crags Trail.

Dense FOG here in MI.  Currently in the 50s, going to 75o STORMS  with a severe temperature drop off overnight and daytime temps in the 40s as HI Saturday and Sunday with that S***word in the could be forecast on Sunday.

Back to the bench for part of today.

All I got.  Later.

friscomike

Good morning folks,

Tom, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Congrats on the dirt spread.

Larry, that sounds like a lot of backbreaking work.

Curt, good luck with the planking.

Rick, yikes, being blown off the mountainside would not be a fun thing.  Enjoy your day in the city.

Karl, the weather up there sounds nasty.  Hope you stay safe.

Ron, good news about your wife.  Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Jerry, congrats on the mulch spreading.  Doesn't sound as much fun as modeling.

How is the rest of the crew?

The ballgame last night was a lot of fun.  The team, Clingstones, is a Double-A farm club for the Atlanta Braves.

Today is the first day I can lift more than 10lbs, so I plan to finish cutting up bushes for disposal.  Hope to make it upstairs for some fun at the bench.

Have fun,
mike
