Jerry,

Thank you, much appreciate the comment. I came upon the stain and paint by accident. I tried to remove some stain while still wet and the paint came with it.

As I previously mentioned, I'm using Stoney Creek roofing papers.

I also used 3M Transfer Tape to secure the paper to the roof panels.

The Stoney Creek roofing paper was added by using the previously cut pieces.

I folded the roof hip paper down the middle.

I added  a little yellow glue to the sides. I tried white glue but it didn't want to hold as well.

Fast forward and the roof is finished. It still needs weathering.

I painted some scale 2X6s white and when dry, cut the to fit under the eaves. I made sure they were long enough as once glued in place will be trimmed.

I replaced the roof and made sure it still fit snug on the top of the walls.

Thumbs up, all is good.

I chose Weber Costello pastel to weather the roof. This set of pastels range from dark gray to white.

I used four different shades of gray to weather the roof.

I wanted the roof to be weathered but not neglected.

The concrete base and tower were place where it will serve the A&S RR.

I removed the tower and glued the base in place.

I ordered another desk from Darryl at Interaction Hobbies. When it comes, I'll finish the interior of the tower. In the mean time, I'll work on the scenery and add details to the base. Once dry that is.

Done for today.
