That bus station is one of my all-time favorites on the F&SM. Each time I've visited the F&SM I've asked George Sellios if he will ever make it into a kit. Each time he has answered "no."

I wounder how many of George's kit test builds ended up on the F&SM and were never made into kits.

Don't really matter as long as he was havin' fun and buildin' a railroad!
Sometimes, the bidness side has to take a back-seat to the fun of buidin' your railroad!!!

My personal opinion is that George had his priorities well balanced!!!  :) :) :)
Don't release too much too fast - he also was a super bidness-man!

A neat little detail I just discovered is the clock on the stone wall. Incredible detail- see if George remembers where it came from. Thanks John, and thanks so much for your great effort on this thread. You are the world's #1 F&SM authority, with the possible exception of George.

I don't know about authority - but I am a fan of great modeling.  George learned to model studying photographs of great layouts like John Allen's - I am hoping some of George's talent will rub off if I study photographs of his layout.

This is my first post to this forum.....

I was very excited to see a thread dedicated to George's amazing layout.  In my mind, it's been long overdue.  I tried doing the same sort of thing on an "old forum" but it got pulled/deleted.  So thank you to whoever set this up.  I can never get enough of his layout.  There's just so much to see.

Anyway, please keep those pictures flowing......!!!!

Hi John

Good to see you here- the pictures I'm posting, and the others here are posting, are from a photo shoot that George allowed during the 2013 EXPO - no issues with ownership. I set this thread up with George's permission.  So enjoy the thread. I will be adding pictures every week.

Hi John....thanks for the welcome and for providing all of those pictures.  They're great!!

On a related note, do you happen to have any good (...or even "not so good") pictures of a brick two story building called "Porky's Bar & Grill"??  The structure is located in Franklin and it's right next to the "Fish Row" of buildings.  The footprint of the building is kind of triangle shaped.  If you happen to have pictures of this structure, would you mind posting them?

Like I said, good or even not so good pics would be great.  It's a structure I had attempted to build a few years ago and scrapped it but now I would like to give it another shot.  And having as many pictures as possible at different angles, etc. would be really helpful.

I'd really appreciate any help you could provide (...or possibly any other forum members).  Thanks!!

Yes - I have a few pictures of Porky's (the two story triangular brick building just across the river from fish row).  It will be next weeks structure of the week. I need to do some homework to make sure I have everything in one place before I post them.  Stay tuned if I get the homework done we may have two structures this week.

This week's structure is the Central Station in South Manchester. This is another structure where George used the stone castings.
