Larry, it's been ions since I complemented you on the build. If I didn't have a long list of projects to
do this summer, I would also be modeling.
Your modeling has reached new heights with the scenery.
That use for the tractor was a good one.
Can't wait till you come up with a new one next.

I've found the best thing to do with scenery is just jump into it.  Cost is relatively low, and if you're really unhappy, it's not that hard to redo.

Thanks Dave for the advice. I'm trying to do "layers" of scenery to make
a greater impact.

A quick update. Finished most of this side of the diorama now. Added an old rusty wheelbarrow top sitting on a couple of old tires with some rusty junk inside. Did my usual technique of spraying with a primer then going over it with chalks and clear alcohol. When dried I take a q-tip and remove the excess chalk. Also included a welding tank and have a shovel to glue against the building beside of it. Went mostly just dirt here since it's a high traffic area.



Also finished in front of the Mercantile just because.

Today I received 10 LP's from Rusty Rail so that'll keep me busy for awhile. I'll probably paint a few at a time and add each one to their intended scenes as I progress. Also Monday next my order of scenery material should be arriving. Included are some trees premade since let's face it....my trees I make suck!! So hopefully those will be better.
