Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Interesting looking engine. Curt have fun at the bench; looking forward to your update.

Rick great to hear things are falling in place for you and yes there's always something to do when you own a home. Nice green photo.

Mike have fun upstairs and stay cool. Hope the A/C repair isn't too costly.

What's the rest of you doing today.

It's a sunny 59 with a high of 64 and some descent weather for the next several days. I see the local growers are planting veggies so I guess it's safe to start planting some flowers when I get a chance. Ellie has her followup dental apt. this afternoon. I have a feeling I'll be car shopping with Daughter soon since I think her car has just about seen the lick.

Have a safe and enjoyable day!! Be well.

Good morning Crew. After absolutely gorgeous days since last Friday with temperatures ranging from low 80's to 91 yesterday the weather will change. We've had low humidity and slight breezes in clear skies. Today it's  gloomy, very windy and we may stay in the 70's.

Gas here locally at our Casey's gas station when I walked by yesterday had dropped to $4.39 per gallon. When I walked by this morning it was $4.59.

Today and tomorrow continues Terry's deep dive into our financials. I don't get too involved in what the markets are doing but Terry does. She loves that crap. She has done this for years in May and November but started later this month than usual.

Tuesday we did go to the movie theater. We saw the Mandolorian movie and it was ok entertainment. I've not watched it on TV but it was easy to figure out what was happening so no need to be a Star Wars fan. The movies lately are just get out of the house type movies. Nothing dramatic. Coming up is the movie called Tuner as most everything else is comedy, horror or kids.

Looks like MontrĂ©al is finished down 3-1 games in the NHL playoffs. The first 2 series went 7 plus  OT games have worn them down. I was hoping!

Enjoy the day

Morning!

Some great photos Curt.

Rain had ended and cleared off finally. Yard needs mowed today when the dew decides to evaporate.

Good luck car hunting and AC repairing to you both! Always something.

I started replanning the Stoney Creek Blacksmith Shop. Drawing it up in cadstandard by Apperson and Daughter. Great lil program to make elevation drawings. Check it out

The day awaits!

All quiet on the Northern Front.

CAVU total clarity-well the sky is. 50-70 the temp rang today.

Sunny right now and a very pleasant 65 in SE NH.  Clouds coming in with rain later today.  There's a bunch of big lumber trucks at a neighbor's yard to remove some oaks.  Large crain, log loader, wood chipper, etc.  I sure hate the sound of chain saws, and I don't understand people who buy wooded lots and then complain about having to rake leaves so they remove the trees.

Eyes are still funky, but the 1 week follow-up said "everything going well"   For those of you who have done cataracts, did you get your dominant eye done first or second?  Mine is being done second, I think part of my problem is my brain saying "why can't we see out the dominant eye?"

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice picture.
Looking forward to the ground work.

Rick by all means send the heat here.
The beach is no fun at 60 some degrees.
Glad your getting everything set up before moving in.

Mike hope you get upstairs today.

Larry good luck with those flowers we got ours in yesterday.

TomO gas is hard to figure out.  How it changes from one day to the next os beyond me.

So Philip is this going to a build or what??
Love to see you give it a try.

Karl glad your having nice weather at the command.

Dave the eyes will be better.  I had mine done 20 years apart and never had any problems.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/75.  Later on 77.
I did mange to get some more shingles done yesterday.
I hope to finish the one wall today.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Jerry, Yes I started revising the first wall (drawing 4) plan last night as the stud were spaced 12" apart. Perhaps over engineered by Roger. I have Chris Bohn making the shingles and I need to order supplies from Northeastern scale lumber for the trusses.

Good afternoon everyone,

A little late checking in this morning, current weather is 17c (62f) and the sun is out.

No modeling last night as I watched the hockey game.  As TomO mentioned, Montreal lost and is down 3-1.  If this is it for them this year the experience they got will serve them well going forward.  Not sure what tonight will bring.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

64 now, 76 and cloudy later in Sioux Falls.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Egg, crispy bacon and avocado on toasted sourdough bread for breakfast.

Ron, maybe you got home early enough yesterday to hit the bench.

Philip, I'm sure there's a cigar store near you and you could get sheets of cedar to make your own shingles.

Jerry, yes I'll get something to listen to music but it won't be nearly as big and expensive as my last system.

Dave, glad eye progress is progressing satisfactorily.

Karl, keep enjoying north time.

TomO, I haven't gone to a movie theater in years, but I will try and go to see the new Spielberg flick coming out shortly.

Larry, enjoy your decent weather.

Mike, hope the AC fix won't be expensive.

How's everyone else?

Didn't do the homeowners insurance yesterday.
Just didn't feel like dealing with it but I'll do it today.
Ended up doing a 6 mile walk on the bike trail here.
Gym for sure this morning.

The bike trail I keep mentioning is paved and it follows alongside the Big Sioux River on one side and then back again on the other side.
It's a total of 19 miles.
There are a very few sections where there's a dirt trail through wooded areas that mountain bikers use.
That's where Star and I walked yesterday.
This was taken on yesterdays walk.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Pretty scenery. Insurance is a necessary evil.

Started the day with a walk at 76F and heading to 90F later. Dad got his new hearing aids yesterday and seems to hear much better. Fingers crossed. I started detailing the diorama. I figure the next update will be on completion which will probably be by Monday.

Today after chores I'll continue detailing the build.

When I came home last night after getting the hearing aids I found this.

Good morning Rick, Curt and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, nice scenery.  I worked from home yesterday (less distractions) and I always work from home on Fridays when I have to work on Fridays, and today is one of those Fridays. :(

Curt, I think Ti owns that chair now.  ;D  Looking forward to the final update when it is done.

Current temperature is 13c (55f) and sunny.  Didn't make it to the bench last night as I spent too much time researching WiTcontroller, which is an ESP32 based controller that works with the DCC-EX system.  I know I can use WiThrottle on my Iphone, but what is the fun in that.  ;D

Not sure what tonight will bring as there is a hockey game tonight, but I might get something done at the bench while watching the game.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice photo. ANY insurance is a necessary evil; a lot like vehicles.

Curt glad your Dad is hearing better. Nice photo of the critter; does he like his belly rubbed.

Ron hope you make it to the bench; sounds like a lot of distractions.

What are the rest of you up to.

It's a sunny 55 with a high of 71. Lots to do today with a couple of errands, buying and planting flowers, and replacing the innards in the toilet; hopefully I'll run out of jobs before I run out of steam.

Have an enjoyable and safe day!! Be well.

Good morning, Rick, Curt, Ron, Larry and later arrivals.  High 50s and sunny in the lower Merrimack Valley this morning, clouds later, showers this afternoon.  One chicken was missing from the coop when I did evening chores; I found her in poor condition in the combine shed, she was dead this morning. If I was right in suspecting her of egg-eating, I won't miss her and there's a woodchuck hole she can go in after I eat breakfast.

Today's business starts with mechanical chores and the lawn, maybe some layout work after the showers arrive.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.  Cool trail and photo.

Curt, looks like someone wants belly rubs at your place.

Ron, good luck finding a DCC-EX controller.

Larry, wishing you a green thumb day.

James, good luck with the chores.

How are the rest of the crew?

Looks like rain here all afternoon.  I made good headway yesterday upstairs. Assembled trucks for the tank car, added weight to the tank, and am ready to add the wood strips to the tank blank.  I'm planning to use 3M transfer tape to attach the wood.

Have fun,
mike
