TomO:  Many websites have "password aging" where a password expires after a certain amount of time.  For a while, the 'best practice' was -30 day aging-, but finally common sense and some security studies showed that was just stupid, and for business sites actually more vulnerable.  (Who memorizes a 30 day password?  They just write it down and put it under the keyboard ;D .)  Others will require 100% password changes after a security breach, or when changing underlying website software.  So that's not a big surprise.

Rick:  Will you be raking your grass cuttings into rolls like your neighbor?

Howdy folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Looks like you have a lot of hay available.  Indeed, I had an MGA and MGB plus two Z3 2.8Ls.  I loved them all for different reasons, but the Z3s were my favorite.  In fact, I was bitten by the bug when I sold the windscreen and bought a 98 Z3 yesterday. It was probably foolish since I am almost 80...

Larry, hope the day was to your liking.

Curt, yikes, 86?

TomACL, good luck getting the moisture out.

Karl, have fun with your friend.

James, good luck with the grass mowing.

TomO, hope you find your password.

Ron, good luck with the dolly...

Philip, good afternoon.

How is the rest of the crew?

I woke up to thunderstorms, and they will return this afternoon. I didn't make it upstairs for long yesterday. Buying a new-to-me 1998 Z3 consumed the afternoon. The car is 28 years old but only has 58K miles on it,  Not a scratch or dent, and it's always been garaged. Here's the seller's photo.

Have fun,

Good morning everyone.

49 now, clouds and 78 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Pork roll, egg and cheese on a toasted and buttered everything bagel for breakfast today.

Mike, congratulations on the new ride and hope you have many safe and trouble free miles with it.

Dave, the grass wasn't even bagged.  ;D

Philip, good morning.

Ron, congratulations on the new portable storage units.

Jerry, hope the room was cool.

TomO, glad you are safe and didn't suffer any damage at your home.

James, hope we get to see some of your pictures.

Karl, with all the hiking I've done I've only ever seen one bear.

ACLTom, glad the musty smell is gone and are all the roses planted?

Curt, glad you've got the kit started.

Larry, hope you got some bench time in.

Had a good workout at the gym and mowed the lawn in the afternoon.
A bunch of errands to run today.
Motor vehicle to change my address, Walmart to return things I didn't need and get things I do need, the bank and the Dollar Store to get some cheap stuff.

This was a few years ago at Indiana Dunes National Park at sunrise.

Good Morning,

Mike sweet ride good luck with it; besides you're only as old as you feel.

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sounds like a busy day....but a good busy. Beautiful photo.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a sunny but cool 56 with a high of only 63. A few errands to run then I hope to finish the small shed and post an update later on. This afternoon the front hedges need to be trimmed and check the flowers. That's about it from here.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. With all the errands you truly sound like an homeowner. Beautiful photo. I think it's one of your best ones.

Starting out the day in high 70's and headed to a 105F feel like temp. I'm dreading July-September. Yesterday I got the initial grain and coloring on the strip wood. It took about 3 hours. Next up is specific detail of the boards like splits, divots, knot holes etc.

Today after chores I have to take Dad on his weekly errands. MOH picks up the skunk kits and starts back to SC with her BFF. Not sure if I will make it to the workbench today.

Terry (Vietnam Seabee) is lending me one of the hand cranked Sanders on Thursday. ;D

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Terrific photo, thanks.

Larry, good luck with the shed.

Curt, looks like you are having fun on the kit.

How are the rest of the crew?

Thanks for the comments about the car.

It's a rainy morning, but the sun is peeking from the clouds.  The rain is keeping the temperatures down to the 80s.  Today I have several 1:1 errands, then hope to make it upstairs.  I'm eyeing a Model T kit for the bench.

Have fun,
mike

Philip

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee Rick! That HOA must be pretty easy going?

What a cool car Mike... and the Model T ;D

What are you working on Curt?

Have a great day gang!

TomO/Tloc

Good morning! Wisconsin is bright, clear and windy. 55 now and 75f degrees later. The flash flood warnings in our area were removed some time yesterday. The 7 day forecast has Mother Nature being gentle to us.

Terry has PT today and will drop me off at the shop for a few hours. The grandson has now helped me a few times to get it organized. It's close to how I want it. I have a couple small projects to finish before I start back building my friend's paper mill.

I had a buddy stop by with a kit and 12 figures yesterday he asked if I could build for him. I said yeah but can't really get momentum on it until the paper mill is done in about 6 months. That defeated him but he left it anyway. It's a FOS Scale Models Red Light district kit. The picture looks great. It fits an area 6" x 24" and it should be fun. I opened it last night to check out the instructions. Not hard but definitely it will be a time consumer. I will take it over to the shop today and set up a bunch of project boxes and its own space. I can play with it occasionally as a break from the paper mill. The figures I will clean today as I can paint those fairly quickly.

I already called the brass sales site this morning and it was my email address that was the issue. I had to change it when TDS said they would no longer support TDS.com addresses. It has been 5 years not just the couple I thought since my previous purchase at this site so it made sense. I purchased the 4 units and I am thrilled. I will order the Tsunami2 decoders and the LEDs this morning but wait to order the Scale Sound System speakers. Those I need to be sure will fit.

I may stop today with Terry after the grocery run for more project boxes at the  local big box store Blain's Farm and Fleet. Project boxes keep me organized

Enjoy your day

TomO, Bob Butts built the Red Light District for Tom and it looks fantastic. Definitely an eye catcher. Not sure if he did a build thread or not.

Good morning Everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, sounds like you are going to have a busy day with all that running around.  :o

Larry, looking forward to your update.

Curt, I bought a Ultimation Sander a couple of years ago, well expensive, it has more than paid for itself.

Mike, you are growing quite the car collection.  ;D

Philip, have a great day.

TomO, will be interested is watching your paper mill build, I've worked in a lot of paper mills installing paper machines in my career.

Jerry, hope you make it to the modeling room today.

Current temperature is 16c (61f), overcast with more rain in the forecast.  Yesterday was a productive day as I modified a dolly for my new tool and model storage system for road shows, watch the F1 race, the first race that Mercedes didn't win this season and worked on adding details to the first industrial building that I'm building for the N-scale modules.  We shall see what tonight brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Being a home owner is keeping you busy and great sunrise photo.

No, the roses aren't planted but will be in the next hour.

I had a normal EKG with the Cardiologist this morning. Well, normal as a routine EKG with the results to be determined. I've not experienced any issues so this is to compare it to the one from two years ago.

I'm still pulling moisture out of the train shed but only a 3rd. of what I've been getting. The carpet tiles are going back in tomorrow.

Mike, very nice find on the car. Low mileage and well kept. We bought Pam her dream car last summer. A 2008 Lexus SC430 hardtop conv. It had 20,105 miles. She has run the odometer up to 20,210 miles. She put all of 105 miles on this baby in a year. You can still smell the leather in the vehicle.

Well, time to plant the roses.

Have a safe, happy and modeling filled day everyone.

Ron, I thought I remembered you worked for a supplier to the mills. My mind is not completely shot! My paper machine building for my friend will be 38" long with a 22" wet end and a 16" dry end. Details on the outer walls but no detailing inside as it will be a facade 2" deep.

My own new paper mill the Paper Machine Building will be a full structure building about 10" wide. I'll have lots of questions come September/October
