Good Morning All,

Currently 78F heading into the 100's with the feel like temps for the next 6 days. I definitely felt it yesterday. Yesterday I reread the instructions closer then headed out to get stuff for the build. I think now I either have or have on order everything I need for the build.

Today after chores I plan on figuring out the NWSL True Sander. Up to this point I've had mixed results, but there are a  LOT of platform/decking legs in this build so consistency will be important. MOH and her BFF are off to IA today getting there late Sunday.

Rick as a homeowner the shopping is never done, but shopping lists really help me.

Curt, one trick for the True Sander and the Imation Disk Sander (among others):  Use double-sided Scotch Tape to tape a fence to the bed.  You can use thin styrene for that, with the piece of styrene at the correct length from the disk.  So when you're sanding a piece of wood and the piece sitting on top of that thin styrene finally drops into position with the back edge against the fence, you're done.  I've also used a taped-on fence to make sure I was sanding the right side of a 10x12 piece of wood (angles for a trestle bent.)  Again, if the wood fit snugly inside the fence, I was sanding the correct end. 

Philip, was that the big Logan framing sander?  I have one, I use it a lot.  https://www.amazon.com/Logan-F200-2-Precision-Sander-Elite/dp/B0039ZV4Y4  They're expensive, though.  Getting one at a yard sale was probably a great find.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, that is a nice farm you are living next to.

Current weather is 23c (73f) and sunny.  No modeling last night as a buddy called me and I ended up going out to enjoy some beers and live music.  Have a couple of errands to run and then the grass need cutting.  After that the rest of the day should be mine (famous last words).

Dave, The one Kelly had was all plastic. Was a cheapo, but it worked great. I think Blick sold them.
