Florida weather in SE NH yesterday and today, and probably tomorrow.  Ugh!  I still haven't figured out the right strength for computer glasses.  The ones I got yesterday are too strong(!) for the computer.  So I might go try a third pair that are weaker, but having to switch between no-glasses for distance, thick-glasses for reading, and a third pair for computer work could get old really quickly.

So still no modeling, until I get the eyes figured out better.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hopefully something can be done to help your day and enjoy the new kit.

Karl, hope the power comes on sooner rather than later.

Dave, glad the eyes are doing well.

Rick, glad the closing went well, sounds like you are making huge strides with moving in.  Glad Star found a corner she likes.

Current weather is 22c (71f), cloudy with rain in the forecast later today.  I did make it down stairs last night but works on my stamp collection, still have a ton of organizing to do, but am having fun doing it.  Not sure what tonight will bring but it will be train related whether it is more cleaning in the layout room, painting details, wiring the staging yard, decaling the boxcars I built recently or working on the programing for the planetary stepper motors that I plan to use to control the switches for the staging yard, I'll wait to tonight and see what I feel like doing.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

I slept good last night as well. I guess I was tired as I didn't flip as much as normal.

I got about 3 inches of rain in less than an hour yesterday afternoon. Rained heavy and fast. The ground didn't have time to absorb all the water and once it got 1.5" high, it started to enter the train shed. I had towels but couldn't stop the flood.

I pulled up 18 carpet tiles and they are now drying in the sun. I ran the dehumidifier last night and have already emptied 6 gallons of water.

Pam and I are meeting the Judge and his wife for lunch up in Sanford at a restaurant of their choosing.

Karl, hope you and the Doll get power at the assigned time.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Curt,

Thanks, but all is well. The dehumidifier is wonderful. It will take a few days to totally rid the shed of the moisture from the carpet.

Good morning crew. Our storms yesterday were severe but no flooding, the tornadoes were seen but mostly in farm fields. Just under 2" in the rain gauge though it sure seemed like we got lots more. Part of town was without electricity for 3 hours but our neighborhood was fine.

Maybe more of the same again around 2 this afternoon.

I'm back from a dental cleaning and we are not sure if we are doing breakfast out as it is Thursday.

The layout is completely cleared off

Enjoy your day

TomO

Philip

Good morning,

Busy crew this morning. I wish you all smooth sailing between the weather, health, and ,mechanical issue havoc's.

Most likely the closing adjusting stress Rick.

Karl, I hope your electric comes back on!

I mowed yesterday in the 99 heat index. Wasn't that bad riding but the weed eating kicked me.
The garden shot up 3" with this Florida weather, more of the same today and then the colder jet stream kicks in Friday...

Jerry

Power restored around 3:30, but water wasn't working. I found the two slow blow fuses inline were ok, breaker box was ok. So I called well guy who came out and fussed with power contacts and aired up the pressure tank and good to go.

Power company blamed trees for the outage, as they have 3 out the last 4 in the last few months. They don't seem too inclined to trim them.

Weather guesser says possibly worse storms tonight. Better get a shower etc beforehand as I have an appointment with my hearing specialist tomorrow morning.

All I've got.

Thanks all for the concern. Rick all the excitement of home purchase could well trigger the reflux. Mine has been evil lately as well as gi stuff.  :o

Rick

Good morning everyone.

56 in Canton now, 84 and mostly sunny later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Fried egg, crispy bacon and avocado on toasted sourdough bread for breakfast today.

Karl, closing went smoothly but paying for everything is stressful.  ;D  8)

Mike, haven't lost a post since I started coping my post before submitting.

Jerry, hope the flowers are safe.

Philip, sounds like you might have a harvest sooner than later.

TomO, hope yesterdays storm wasn't a problem.

ACLTom, sounds like there won't be any permanent damage in the shed which is a good thing.
How's The Judge doing?

Ron, what did you feel like doing?

Dave, seeing any better now?

Larry, good luck with the cars.

Curt, do you have everything you need to start the new kit?

Got all the credit card addresses updated.
Still have a few miscellaneous ones to do.
Had a good work out at the gym.
Had a nice walk ion the neighborhood in the PM.
Met two of my neighbors.
Going back to the Good Earth Park for a little hiking.

Star loves the windows in the LR being low so she can keep an eye out on what's going on.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Star looks right at home there. Glad everything went smoothly and I'm sure you'll get settled in soon. Nice photos; almost looks like you're turning into "a country boy".

How's everyone one else doing?

It's still a muggy 74 with a high of 84 with rain possible this am. Both cars are now sitting in the driveway and are all inspected for another year; yee haw!!! Running a couple of errands shortly then hopefully some quality bench time since I really haven't had any  this week to speak of.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well and stay cool.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Nice view from the hacienda.  Star will love watching folks go by.

Larry, congrats on the car inspections. Hope you get to the bench.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a sunny morning, forecast for 91°F.  The humidity is 93% this morning. This morning I plan to wash Sharon's car, then head upstairs.  I haven't decided what to start on next, but I'm leaning on working on the DCC system and accessories, lighting circuits.

Have fun,
mike
