Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, I think RB finally figured things out. 😊  The "Great American/British/Canadian Baking Show is one show that I actually have watched.

Larry, hope you make it to the bench.  You know that leaf mulching is a never ending battle.

Mike, enjoy breakfast with Sharon.

Curt, thanks for the "Happy Thanksgiving", Good news is, I get it off this year, it's one of the perks of not traveling for work anymore.  Hope you feel better soon.

Dave, I'm hoping that visits to the body shop is not a regular occurrence.  Sounds like you made great progress on the layout yesterday.

TomO, even though there was a change of plans, sounds like the trip was a great success.

James, hope you get the rest of the storm windows installed today.

Current weather here is 13c (55f) and cloudy with a 70% chance of rain this afternoon.  Yesterday was enlightening.  I finished cleaning off the layout, put some buildings back in place repaired another switch machine and hot glue the clothes pegs to the inside of the benchwork to hang the skirting.  Did you know that hot glue is really hot!  :o  I ran out of clothes pegs so, I ordered more and they should be here later today.  I can then finish gluing the clothes pegs, not my fingers, and finish hanging the skirting.

I also finally turned on the power to the layout and was greeted with a bunch of steam sounds. ;D   I tried running a locomotive, but it traveled down the track like a drunken sailor. :o   Looks like I need to clean the track, although I would have been shocked if I didn't need to clean track.  I just wanted to see if trains would run on the layout again.

Have a great day everyone.

'Drunken sailor" sure beats "dead on arrival" or "beeping circuit breaker"!

 Afternoon

Late today to much running around.
Izzy had a Vet appointment annual checkup.
Then a quick stop at the grocery store.

To top that off the tire pressure light is on and won't go off.
Even thought the tire pressure is right.
Keeps blinking.

So maybe I'll get to sit at the bench now maybe not!!

Everyone have a great day!!

We hit 80 today with sun. I went to Ops and came home early. Took a nap. Been tiring early lately and needed a nap. The Gladiator hit 100K on the way home.

Good Morning,

I see Rick's here but I'll get us going anyway. The morning beverages are ready. Breakfast is assorted doughnuts from a small bakery in town so enjoy.

What's your plans today?

It's almost 0700 and still dark out @ 59 with a high of 75 with more rain. Since it's fall I bought some Cortland apples yesterday so I'll be making a batch of Applecrisp some time today....yum. Maybe some more time at the bench and order what I'll need for the fishing boat.

Here's a photo of the trees behind my neighbor's house:

Good morning everyone.

48 now, clouds and sun all day with a high of 61.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Pork roll, egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel for breakfast today.

Karl, congratulations on the 100K and hope you get another 100K with it.

Jerry, hope you get the TPMS issue resolved.

Ron, at least trains ran some.
I'm sure a good cleaning and it will be running normally again.

James, congratulation to your wife on her sales and enjoy the clinic.

TomO, I'm sure you enjoyed yesterdays game and the results.

Dave, good news from the bench.

Curt, did you borrow Tom's level?  :)

Mike, good luck to Sharon at the casino.

Larry, were you able to squeeze in some bench time.

I've only ever watched the British baking show.
Didn't know about the US and Canadian versions because I don't have Roku.
Did anyone try watching The Gentlemen?

Van got washed.
Nothing planned yet for today.

More fall

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from Wisconsin. My ears are still (literally) ringing from being at the Brewer game last night. Wow! I have been to 1,000 + games over my lifetime and never have I been to one that loud from batting practice to the final out when the place really exploded. Lambeau is loud, the old Chicago stadium for the Black Hawks was deafening, the United Center for the Bulls and Hawks was occasionally, the Seahawks in Seattle and close maybe the old Vikings dome. But last night was surreal and worth it! The roof was open or it would have been even louder. The only time it seemed anyone sat was between innings. I had 2 extra tickets as the granddaughter and a friend of the grandson couldn't come. Terry's youngest brother (the remaining good one) and his girlfriend took them and joined us. I could have sold them in the parking lot for around $500 each. Yes the Brew Crew won

It was still 81 at 9:30 when we got home last night. I flipped the a/c on as it was 78f in the house. The AC has been off for about a month, using the windows for ventilation. We keep the A/C at 76 and the heat at 72. It took maybe 30 minutes to cool the place down. Sleep though was intermittent all night.

64f degrees now only 74 later. Sunrise is at 7:09. The long range forecast calls for high 70's at times for the balance of the month but no more 80's.

Rick, Larry and Karl, great pictures. Karl time for a trade in. Just kidding it is finally broken in. Another diet Dr Pepper for me. I have to give my med 90 minutes before I canneat

Waiting for Terry to see what we might do today. If nothing I will be at the bench at times today

Enjoy the day

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening Larry and breakfast Larry and Rick.

Getting ready to head out to VA sick call. Had a second poor night of sleep due to the neck. No modeling yesterday and probably the same today.

I'll try to post later.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Geezers,

Thanks for breakfast Larry and Rick. Its doubly good.

It seems like this forum topic could also be called "What are all our medical issues of the day". I guess its all age related at this point. I go along 79 years in good health and physical condition and WHAM, 2026 approaching my 80th year many things have gone south WTF! I'll be most happy to be back to normal and daily modeling.

I'm still going through the radiation fallout from the 39 sessions. Mainly, my "manhood parts", are suffering from a reaction from the treatments. I have a severe burning when using the latrine, and it is intense. Doc says it will lesson over the next two weeks. In the mean time it is on fire. Nothing to take for internal radiation burning except Advil. He made it very clear NOT to take Motrin but stay with the Advil every four hours.

Going to the Flea Market/Antique Center was a huge mistake for me. I knew better than to go, but go I went. Anyway, I did come home with a nice find from the coin dealer. He had a 1914 Cleveland $20 note for $45. It had several folds, some light staining and a misaligned/narrow bottom border. This is a US Currency Large Note. This is considered a VG to F note. Anytime I can get a large note for just over double face value, I'll grab it. Yes, I know you want to know what it is actually worth. Well, according to the US Paper Money grading system, this $20.00 US Currency note is valued at between $115 to $175 on the secondary market. Not sure why the dealer had it at $45 other than he is a coin dealer and not a currency dealer. For me to get the correct value, I'll need to send it off to be officially graded, then I can nail down the true value.

Pam is going bowling, I'm staying home and trying on some new diapers.  :( :(

Have a nice, happy, safe and healthy day everyone.

Tom
