Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.  Congrats on the new vehicle, with only 8000 miles, I bet it still has that new car smell.

Larry, hope the new order of details for the boat comes quickly.

Mike, have fun at the Piedmont Pilgrimage sounds like a fun event.

Rick, another great fall picture.

Dave, hope the car repair was reasonable.

TomO, enjoy your nap.

Jerry, with the rain, I hope you make it to the bench today.

Current temperature is 7c (44f) and raining.  It's a good day to work inside.  Well, I attended my 2 meetings that were scheduled this morning (online) so the rest of the day is mine. 8)  After spending time last night trying to find the short on the turnout by making sure that all the PC ties had the proper gaps and adding additional gaps I still could not find the short, so I've given up looking for the short for now and will be replacing the turnout.  The new turnout is built and will be installed right after I finish this post.  Then it is on to cleaning the track and hanging the skirting, I'm in great shape for the open house tomorrow.  ;D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning gang,

The cold front has arrived. 50's and suppose to fall to 44 overnight. The birds have picked the red berries clean off the dogwoods.

Got the car back and it's doing much better. New Rack and cv axel on the drivers side. The cv had a hole in the boot and was slinging grease.

Bout it from my foxhole.

Bright overcast and 30 mph gusts. Temps peak in the 50s after 3/4" of rain overnight.

Watched the Thursday nite football game last night from Denver. Nice to see a game with no emotions in the outcome. You could see the Seattle team was a sea level team. They still took it to overtime before losing.

TomO, sounds like a full day. I'd be really worn out. Been really feeling whipped at times lately. Left Ops Mon around 2 pm. Just seemed to hit the wall.

Bench time is definitely a thing for today. Put a couple more blue box coal hoppers together. Couplers, weights and wheels.

Enjoy the day all.  8)

Rick

Good morning everyone.

32 here now, sunny but windy with a high of 61.

I see a few other crew members so who knows how many breakfasts we'll get.  :)

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Two eggs, bacon and/or sausage patties with home fries for breakfast.

Karl, good news from the bench.

Philip, good news about getting the car bak.

Ron, hope the new switch is short free.

Jerry, I had no place to store it and then loading it into the van would take up too much space.

TomO, hope Terry's procedure went well.

Dave, can't remember last time I wrote a check.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Had our first frost last night.
That should get the trees to start changing colors.
Nothing planned for again today.

This was back in Sept at Rocky Mountain NP.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. I was here earlier but didn't have anything ready for breakfast so I waited.

I've been doing a little yard work and easing back into my old routines. My eye has healed from the eye surgery but it made the cataract in the right eye worse. Now cataract surgery is in my future. I can still see but my depth perception is a little off.

Today, I'll do a little more on the book and starting tomorrow, I'll spend a week on the layout.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Beautiful scene.

We will be leaving for the skunk show. After the show a bunch of us go to supper so it will be a long day.

Yesterday I put down sculptamold on the diorama. What a mess. First time I have ever used it.

Tom glad you're getting back to normal.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Hard FREEZE 8) Bright Sun in the mitten state this morning 32o at 0800 this am.

Good morning. My area had a low of 28f last night our 1st freeze of the season. Maybe 55 later

Terry's procedure was cancelled as we were driving there is scheduled for Monday at 8am. The doctor was sick and there was no backup

We both went to hockey on campus because we did not give our tickets away, we won

This morning at 2 because I couldn't sleep so I went over to the shop. Long walk of 60'. Strange quiet feeling over there but I needed to organize my thoughts and really see where I'm at on diesel locomotive commission weathering and commission paper mill structures. Then the 2 non commission paper mills for friends. There are the 2 huge tree projects, 4 bridge projects, a waterfall and scenery projects with friends. Now I know. Terry wants me busy and not hovering during her surgery recovery so the need to organize was a must that I had been putting off.

All be well and enjoy your day

Good Late Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast; enjoy your non-planned day. Beautiful photo.

Tom nice to hear you're able to get back to a few things but like Jerry said, don't overdue. It'll be nice seeing you back at the bench next week.

Curt enjoy the show and dinner afterwards. I've never used that product either and from what I've read I'm in a hurry any time soon.

Philip Morning! Since being retired I've come to realize every day is Saturday except Sunday. I think ACL Tom has mentioned that before.

Jerry hope you make it to the bench today and have fun.

Karl the tomato is a new one on me as well.

Tom O that's a strange time to be out and about but if it helps then why not.

How's everyone else doing?

It's a p cloudy 41 with a high of only 45; tonight it's going down to 31 so I'll have to pull the Mums back under the front porch roof later this afternoon. The backyard is now a sea of leaves which will have to wait until probably Monday. Maybe some bench time later today.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well and get feeling better.
