Warmish, 60s going ~70 with wind but dry. Tomorrow we get rain abd dreary. 50s as highs after that for a few days and trending that way. I see the cloud bank thinning and some blue sky.

Rick, the freezer incident was some time ago,(April '2020) but memorable. Especially after the savory juices broke out of the bag and ran down the front of my "outfit" believe it or not. I was offered ZERO assistance.  :o

Enjoy the day all!

James nice you volunteer to be at the polling places; we're going to vote this afternoon and see if we can't oust the current Gov.
......
Larry, our Town pays about a thousand a year to each Selectman. I get more because nobody else will take minutes of the Selectmen's meetings for the paltry $35/meeting we offer (and I have to show up for all 24 meetings and the elections anyway).

Good morning (barely) everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfasts Rick, Curt, and Larry, quite the feast today.

Rick, for that amount, I would be looking at buying a new camera.  Hope you have an easy workday today.

Curt, hope your PCP appointment goes well and you make it to the bench.

TomO, hope Terry's heart scan produces good news and that she has the energy for lunch.

Tom, glad Bill shill has a great attitude, that makes a huge difference.

James, hope you get some time today to continue to work on the paperwork and I hope the supervising goes well.

Larry, hopefully the new exhaust estimate doesn't cost a body part.

Greg, hopefully the sun will come up for you soon.

Jerry, hope your Dr. appointment goes well.

Karl, your weather forecast sounds like prime workbench/layout time.

Current weather is 12c (53f) and rainy.  Well I now have a super-duper alarm system that I can monitor with my cell phone, I am finally in the 21st century. 8)   No modeling last night, but I did spend time trying to figuring out how to home a planetary stepper motor.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning crew,

Coffee, Eggs, Bacon, and toast this am.

Shocked are we? :o

TomO/Tloc

Philip thanks for opening and breaksfast. I'm chowing down!

It's 60f degrees which is also the high for the next few days. At 3 it's supposed to be 47! Good rain chances till noon and then gone for a few days. If it rains by noon that will be 5 days in a row!  High 40's stay around till Sunday when the 60 degree mark returns.

I hope you voted

TomO

Rick

Good morning everyone.

44 now, rain likely most of the day with a high of 46.

Philip, yes, I'm surprised to see you making coffee and breakfast.
Thank you.

TomO, sending positive thoughts to Terry and you for her successful testing and surgery.
I am so disillusioned with our current political system that for the first time I did not vote.
Until there are some big changes in the process, such as limiting or completely eliminating campaign contributions, I'll continue not voting.

Ron, congratulations on the new alarm system.

Karl, hope that event never gets repeated.

Jerry, it would cost more than double that to replace that camera.

Greg, good news on the none flooding and after 3-4 days of rain here I'm missing the sun too.

Larry, did you get a final price on the car repair?

James, how was voter turn out?

ACLTom, how did Pam do bowling?

Curt, how'd the phone appointment go?

How's everyone else.

A short day at work today.
Star woke me a little after 1 last night and needed to go out.
Fortunately that's a very rare event.

There was some interesting light when I was walking Star last week.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning crew,

Philip, thanks for opening, the coffee, and breakfast.

Thanks to all who commented about the freezer loss.  Sadly, it happens to many of us.

Yesterday's 1:1 activities overcame my train plans.  Maybe today.

Have fun,
mike

Election is over.  Is it safe to turn the TV on again?   8)

Dogs go to the "doggy parlour" today for grooming, then I'll drop off the leftover Halloween candy at the earth sciences student lounge.  We got fewer trick-or-treaters than expected.

Once I'm back home, I'll do one more close inspection on the river bed, then apply some sealer coats of Titebond III (waterproof) glue.  I found some potential leaks yesterday, so I wanted the caulk to cure before the Titebond layer.

Grey chill in the air here this morning. Rain is forecast. The election is done, the floodwaters are toxic.

Cleaned up leaves and such all day. Still tired this am.

Car repairs hit here, too. $3k estimate on some things for the Doll's 4runner. Lucky i got a service contract. My cost "only" $525.

Not sure on plans for today.  ???

Be well all

Good Morning,

Philip thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning.

Tom O sounds a little chilly around your neck of the woods; glad the warmer temps are returning. Yup we voted.

Rick we all have nightly wake ups for the bathroom; I guess Star did as well. Yes the final repair bill was half of what I expected; the catalytic converter was still in good shape. Don't wok too hard. Interesting photos btw.

Mike I think we've all lost a freezer at one time or another; worse now that the food prices are soooo high. Hope you make it to the bench today.

Dave I'm with you on TV political ads especially when you know they're lying through their teeth. Good luck with the river bed.

Karl same here with the political toxic environment; sad but true.

It's a sunny 54 and they're calling for a high of 78; we'll see. Probably another session of leave grinding later today since the backyard is covered again; hoping this will end soon. Maybe some bench time but who knows.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good morning, all. It's about 50 and sunny in the lower Merrimack Valley, headed for 70F for the 3rd day in a row.  My lawn is still growing, which would have been unheard-of when I moved here 38 years ago. But I'm not mowing it again.

Yesterday's election drew 488 of our roughly 600 registered voters.  Busy but orderly all day. The checker from the Secretary of State's office was surprised we were using paper ballots. I remarked that we'd probably use machines if the State gave them to us, but our voters weren't likely to buy them with their property taxes.

I helped take down the booths as the counters set up. Results were tallied and sent to the state about 10 PM. It appears a "throw the bums out" mood prevailed in at least the State Senate and Executive Council. I haven't found a site yet that's added up our 400 House results.

After breakfast I'll email my AP chair.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Philip.

Rick, Pam didn't bowl yesterday. She is in PA for our grandson's wedding. I couldn't go for obvious reasons, mainly medical.

I'm just hanging out in the shed today.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Mike hope you get upstairs today.

Morning Dave.

Karl glad you had the insurance.

Larry good luck with those leaves are are done here.

James I guess your off for another two years!

Weather in South Jersey sunny/64.
Nice Fall day.
I have to call and get appointments for my shortness of breath that is test have to be done.
Hopefully they'll figure it out why.

Maybe some bench time later.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)
