TomO/Tloc

Good morning. It's 39f degrees but feels like 24. High for the day should be 64 and it looks like that strong breeze will be diminished.

Curt thanks for opening and the breakfast

The grandson is coming over at 10 as we will be spray painting a color on some of the dollhouse furniture his mom builds. She creates 1/12 for the adult doll house collectors and 1/6 for Barbie doll collectors. He handles an air brush pretty well. Yesterday we primed the pieces. We hope to be done by 2 so we can drive over to Top Golf to hit some balls. He has no hockey games today. He had a goal and an assist in yesterday's lone game away.

Yes he is a good hockey player but I'm more proud he has a level head on his shoulders. No ego from being that "good" athlete. I dislike saying this but he maybe more talented at soccer!!! 7th grade he still is partly blind to the girls. His mom mentioned at the game Friday night his 2 best friends now have girlfriends and the 3 spend less time hanging out together.

My IPadPro as I expected but more hoped only needed a new power cord. I did not buy a new cell phone as after being at the Apple Store I headed to Best Buy for a IPhone 15 per the store website they had 3 in stock for $499. The store employees could not find one but had hundreds of the newest iPhone 18 Pro for $1199 or pro max for $1299. They didn't even supposedly have the 5 IPhone 16's the store website said they have for $799. I will go to the Apple Store Monday after Terry's appointment and get the Iphone16 they have in stock that I confirmed by calling the store yesterday afternoon.

Best Buy was total frustration yesterday as we want a new digital calendar. I will not pay a subscription fee so that ruled out the Skylight brand that they had many of. The other brands because they were on sale were sold out. Turns out the brand we ordered last night via Amazon was 18% less than BB sale price though it will arrive Thursday instead of me installing it already. 21.5" it will make all the appointments and stuff easier for me to organize with Terry. Even she was getting confused the past week.

Enjoy your day

Good morning,

Curt, thanks for opening and for breakfast.  Good luck with the docs.

Larry, hope the weather isn't too bad.

TomO, enjoy your time with your grandson.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 44F warming to 71F this afternoon.  Not much on the agenda today: grilling wings and watching football.

Have fun,
mike

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Yes, we all  had a great time yesterday. Bill enjoyed running trains and his wife Cindy got to see the updates on the layout. She hasn't seen the layout in several years. Of course, we did our share of BSing here and at the watering hole.

That is all I have today.

have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

34 now, sunny and 55 later.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and good luck with your surgeon appointment.

Mike, enjoy the wings and football.

TomO, understandable that you are very proud of your grandson.

Larry, with the weather forecast it sounds like you'll have plenty of bench time.

Ron, I'm sure it's nothing I'll ever mess with but seeing your thread on the stepper motors will be interesting.

Jerry, what's new?

Karl, I'm guessing your team won.

Philip, sounds like some very good progress being made at the bench.

Dave, glad you got home safe.

How's everyone else?

Nothing to report from here.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick

Greg, good morning.

Curt and ACLTom, glad you all had a good time BS'ing.

Tom, glad to hear the Judge had a successful visit.

Yesterday I played around a bit with painting the stream bed, and I built a little testbed for Envirotex pours and coloring.  Today I'll add some terrain to the testbed, and maybe do some more paint testing.  The Envirotex arrives tomorrow.   Stillers aren't playing this weekend, but maybe there'll be a Rain Check Scotch Club this afternoon.

Morning all. Thanks for the coffee Curt!

Breathing & Vertical which is great!  ;D

The decking on the flat in the stain and the "Geezer" flat boat pattern made.

Yesterday we harvested the remaining red, green, and yellow peppers. Processed about a third of the take and  vacuumed in bags. Still another 4 gallons to go. It froze last night, going down to around 30. Garden season is done!

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, glad you had a great time with the gang yesterday.

Larry, it's way too early to talk about the white stuff.  Hope you make it to the bench later.

TomO, have fun with the doll house furniture painting today.  It seems that everything is going to subscription services these days, to me it is just a money grab.

Mike, enjoy the football games.

Greg, good morning.

Tom, glad to hear that Bill showed up and had a great time.

Rick, sounds like you going to have an easy day, enjoy it.

Dave, have fun with the riverbed, sounds like you have it figured out.

Philip, hope you get the remaining peppers canned.

Current weather her is 5c (41f), overcast with rain showers in the forecast, a good day to stay inside.

While no actual physical modeling happened yesterday, progress has been made in other areas.  I spent way to much time on the stepper motor problems but I think I have it figured out, now the testing phase starts, not sure when I'll start the thread on it.  Should I start it now so I can show my trials and tribulations or wait till I have it working, decisions, decisions.  I also spent some time designing some modular sections in AutoCAD for an industrial building I plan to build.  I already have a foam core mock-up of the building.  Right now, the building hides most of the humidifier.  Thanks to Mike the Trainman for the idea from his thread about 3d printing a backdrop building.

Not sure what today will bring besides a grocery run and laundry.

Have a great day everyone.
