Hi Lynn,

The pile driver came out great.  Should be proud of it.

What Steve said, and I sure love the rest of the structures on your layout.
I love photo's, don't we all.

Great job on the pile driver.  The colors and weathering are perfect.  The figure looks good as well.  You'll like working with the Vallejo paints, as you can use a thinner layer of paint and not lose the details.

Hi Lynn:

Your pile driver looks just beautiful. I hope to finish mine shortly. Did you get thread for the pile driver in your kit?

If so mine is missing as all I got was the tan thread for the tire bumpers.

The single biggest problem I've seen with people's figure painting is that the resulting figure is not -dead flat-.  Vallejo and Tamiya both make very good flat varnish/flat sealer.  It's worth applying that over your figure, even if your paints are flat.  (If nothing else, that will help protect the figure from damage when you're handling it.)

Hi Dave:

My figures are flat. I use A&I & then dry brush them with light gray.

Thanks for the nice compliment Karl, and for the help.
Yes I did receive both, but for the rope I somehow ran short and had to buy a spool of thicker thread, I now have enough rope or cable to do lots. ;D

Hi Lynn:

When you add your guide ropes here's what I did. I used brass eyelet at the top of the A-Frame and on the back of the barge to thread the ropes through. These are not included with the kit.

Thanks Karl, I'll watch for them next time I'm in the hardware store.
