Frank,

Great photo from track level. The best photos of layouts are really from track level. Looking very good my friend. The little people will really add to the scene.

Thanks as always for sharing.

Tom ;D

Thanks Tom for your kind words. I guess I should have turned the power on so the signal would have been green. My Bad. I am currently working in this area adding lots of scenic details.  I am considering taking another pic once it is fully detailed to show the difference.

Every layout I see gives me a new idea, your is no different. Too bad I do not have the space to use them all.

Good Evening Marty,

Thank you for stopping by and enjoying my project. I know what you mean about getting new ideas and not having the space or time to utilize it. That seems to be a constant problem. So I just plug along, one day scenery, one day vehicles, etc... Here is another photo you might enjoy. Again, it is an overview of Chester with Ironia off in the distance. A team of Erie geeps are pulling a mixed freight up a grade to Chester. Off in the distance is a Chicago & Northwestern Geep leaving Ironia toward Chester.
Enjoy and have a pleasant Thanksgiving.

By the time you read this post it will be morning. Thank you for your kind words. Yes, you are right. This pic shows about 1/5 of the layout. As you know, I am working on a bit more that half the layout and I will be posting more soon. In the meantime, this will be the view on turkey day. I'll be in the kitchen helping to cook the Thanksgiving dinner. Have a great Thanksgiving with the family.

Frank,
I agree with Tom, very cool indeed.  Okay, but after supper, dinner, breakfast, lunch and a second day snack.  Get back to work on the layout. Remember who's coming with camera's hanging soon! ha. Thanx Thom...

Good Morning Thom,
Good to hear from you. Well, turkey day is over. I am off to the gym and then I will be in the train room for the rest of the day, almost. I know I have a schedule and have been working very hard to complete a large portion of this project. It is amazing how much still needs to be " really done" to complete a portion of the layout. As you know, the devil is in the details, so I am diligently working hard to get it done. Thanks for stopping by.

Ironia is a town in the middle portion of the layout. The name comes from Iron and was located in northern New Jersey a long, long time ago. While Ironis still exists as a town, all the mining is long gone. I have had a Sheepscot kit called The Lime Company which I have been building off and on for the past year. Well, it is almost complete. Four tracks serve the mine.Three tracks pick up product and one track on the other side of the mine hauls away waste product. The following pictures show several views of the mine. While not quite done, I am on the home stretch. There is a hopper at the end of the mine that still needs the hopper doors installed. A metal roof needs to be added below the conveyor delivering product to the end hopper. There is a stairs that needs completion with railing by the end hopper. The entire structure sits on a dense pice of cardstock and fits into the track area in one piece. Not shown is another conveyer belt out one end of the main building. That is complete awaiting installation of the entire building to the layout. Small sheds will cover the mine/conveyer opeings. Enjoy the pics.
