Jan, Jeff, Curt,

Thank you all for the kind words. Twenty one years of work is finally coming to fruition. Glad you like the scene. I still have to add some pigment to illustrate water turbulence. Give me a couple of days. In the meantime, here is another pic. Enjoy.

If you need more photos of the Dover Cocheco mill dam, let me know.  The water level is probably lower than last week, but still running at a good clip.  (We're not out of drought yet, but we've had average rain this spring, so that's progress!)

Jerry,

Thank you for visiting and your kind words. Very glad you are enjoying the pics. I am using my Samsung Note 4 to take the pictures. Nothing fancy. Thank goodness for memory cards. I have taken many, many photos. Thought you might enjoy some more recent photos. I have been stringing telephone line. Slow and tedious work. I have tried to maintain a natural swag of the lines, but for some reason, several are becoming taunt, the reason I do not know. Lots of leaning over the layout. Not my favorite, but necessary. Enjoy the pics.

Looking good.  Are those the Rix telephone poles?  What are you using for wire?

Jeff,

You are correct on the telephone poles. I paint them with an acrylic wash to cut the sheen of the molded plastic. The telephone wire is E-Z line from Berkshire Junction. I use fine, light green. The trick is to have the wire so it drapes from pole to pole. Not as easy as it sounds. The material has an elastic element that appears to creep back into a straight line. Some experimentation is required. When done correctly, it really looks great. Thank you for your kind words on the layout. Stay tune for more photos.

Good Morning All,

Well, its 12 days and counting until Lou Sassi arrives and I have been working at a fever pitch. Just ask my wife. Actually, she has been getting into this as well. She has been painting people and continues to show me where I need more of them. Sweet. My left shoulder continues to hurt. I have gone from hot compresses to cold and that seems to work better.

The town of Little Falls is mostly complete and I thought I would share some pics. I was somewhat apprehensive about pouring water, but when John Siekirk was out her visiting recently, he talked me into "just going for it". I made the final pour yesterday. I found that making two pours at the same time in two different areas is not for the faint of heart. Thank goodness for a hairdryer.

So, here you go. I'll be taking some more pics of the other towns on the layout later in the week. Remember to click on the small pic to see them larger.

Frank,
I really hope you are not getting too caught up in your deadline so that you still have time to enjoy the artistry of your creation.  Each time I see one of your photos I marvel not only at the beautiful structures and scenery, but at all the wonderful scene composition and the many details that draw me into the scene.   I am sure Lou is going to feel the same even if you stop right here.  And, once again, thank you so much for taking time to post these photos for the rest of us to enjoy!

Frank,
Excellent work my friend!  You are a true modeler!  I can't wait to see all the great photos MR. Lou S. takes of your layout.  It's going to be awesome.  I really can't wait till after he leaves your layout, that means you'll have completed many scenes and the fun of you using your railcar cam to film your layout will be really something to see!  Take care and Keep working hard for the next week and half sir.  Thanx Thom...
