I have the wall end caps on and the roof angles cut. Also the door and window openings are in.

now to start bracing.

ak-milw

All the bracing is on, painted the inside black and the outside Apple Barrel acrylic Coffee Bean. Then assembled the whole thing.

next up is the foundation. just plain concrete.

ak-milw

Cement foundation and step are added and the windows and doors using Apple Barrel Palm Leaf green for the color.

I finished up the office building, pictures front and back.

I am waiting on some trucks from American Prototype so I can get some scenery done, in the mean time I am building some more fences.

I don't care what you do Andy , just keep doing it  ;D ;D ;D
I love photo's, don't we all.

That is one solid model in every sense of the word.  I like those Apple Barrel acrylics but sadly they seem to have disappeared from the UK after a brief presence.
Modelling my version of Colorado Narrow Gauge here in the UK.  Any resemblance to reality is purely accidental.

Thanks Barry,
I have used the Apple Barrel paints for years, I like them better than all the other craft paints out there and they are cheap.

I need about 70 feet of fence to separate the gravel co. from the residential houses. I was going to scratchbuild them board by board but looking through my box of tricks I found enough fencing to do it. I found one section from Rusty Stumps and the rest from RS Laser kits. Might as well use them up. I am gluing on a little heavier post on each.

I guess you can see in the picture the two trucks I was waiting for, a 1953 Studebaker and a 37 chevy 2ton dump. will be starting on them shortly.

ak-milw

fencing all in.

Things left to do, build two trucks. paint 5 little people, build a scale platform and scale house, bunches of junk and scenery. Now on to the 53 Studebaker pick up.

ak-milw

Getting a little more scenery done and the 53 Studebaker.

Getting everything placed in the scene and I found an empty corner that has to be filled. Figured I would put in a diesel fuel barrel for the loader. Went to the scrap box and came up with this.

The cylinder is from an adding machine paper roll, two supports and a vent from a Tichy tank kit, a piece of .020 styrene and something that has two I beams on it. See if I can make a fuel barrel out of this.

Thanks for stopping by Steve.

I traced the diameter of the cylinder onto the .020 styrene sheet and rough cut it out. Then glued it to the cylinder.

After it dried I trimmed it close with a sprue cutter then filed and sanded.
