They're like rabbits. Start with one then you have 4 ;D

Dan - technically I think you have to start with two. Just sayin! But your point is made.
What if the one you have is already pregnant?

Raymo,

Yes, I started with one and ended up with four additional. So, that would be start with one and end up with five, correct? :-\

You are correct Professor Langford. I'll spend the rest of my day in the corner with my dunce cap on! 😞

I started painting the one shack with the Tamiya Sky. I dipped the brush in the paint and then into some clean alcohol and applied this to the wall section.

While the wall section was still wet I dabbed it twice onto a clean paper towel.

This removed all the paint on the edges of the raised siding and exposed the bare wood.

Now when this dries it will take the A&I weathering mix better.

More in a few.

Thank you.

You are very welcome and remember it was a self imposed corner sitting.

The happy hut painted with the  Tamiya Sky (green) will be the one closest to the viewer. I wanted to give it a little extra treatment like some replaced boards.

Here is how I did it. I used a new #11 Xacto blade and cut one of the boards on both ends of where I wanted a replacement.

I then made a horizontal cut on the top of that board.

I then cut under that board at the angle of the siding.

Continued in a few.

Then your rabbits are spending time at the neighbors and your not sure how many rabbits you have. Which is why Prof. Langford had to correct your math. Okay this is over now and Tom can have his build thread back. ;)

The cut board was then removed.

The boards on the siding are a scale 6". However, I only removed the exposed board so I'll only use a 1 X 4 to fill t he gap.

I haven't applied the weathering mix yet so the boards are cut and just laying in the gaps so you can see what they look like.

Here are the green walls after painting. NOTE: I haven't removed any boards in the photo.

Here are the same walls after the Hunterline Light Gray weathering mix was applied and the new boards in place.

Two of the shacks were painted with thinned Floquil Reefer White.

Same walls after the A&I applied.

One shack was painted with thinned Tamiya Desert Yellow.

Same with the A&I applied.
