Tom,

Great Progress on the upper level. What do you have planned for the upper level at the ovalix? It would make a nice mid size town. Just asking. Really impressed with your progress. Keep up the great work.

I find work-in-progress photos that show benchwork, lighting, wiring, etc, VERY inspiring!  Please keep showing those, as well as the finished product.

Two-tone,

Looking good bossman!  Nice clean proper professional job T.   Wow what a difference to the layout.  Just wait till you complete the top with lots of scenery.  I think the craftsman's show should consider a show in Los Florida' so there's a no excuse reasons for everyone not to visit your AS empire.  KP-out...

KPI,

Thank you, much appreciate you stopping by and looking in on the update. Scenery and a ton of structures on the third level.

I did speak to Jimmy D. about an Expo in the south. He stated the many vendors from the North weren't keen on the idea. Better for the peons to travel to the Expo rather than the Expo travel to the peons. My words, not his.

Good afternoon Frank. Thanks for the compliment on the work. Not sure what the Ovalix will bring. I know one priority is to have a 40-42 inch radius from the south wall of the Ovalix to the center of the third level. This will allow a very nice curve for the passenger trains to back into the station. another update tomorrow evening.

Dave,

Thank you for letting me and others know that the work-in-progress photos serve a purpose. I've had naysayers say the wiring, bench work, lighting and etc. isn't necessary.

I do show many extra pictures but I also like to show and area from the very beginning to the finished scene. I guess it all goes back to my crime scene processing days.

I appreciate you following along.

It is good to show how you overcome problems.

Thanks for sharing.

Speaking of 'crime scene':  I always wanted to go to a law enforcement supply store and buy evidence bags, and then to a shooting range to dig out slugs.  I'd put a slug in each bag.  Then when someone came to nit-pick, I'd hand him a bag and say, "Here, why don't you get a clue!"  ;D ;D

Tom;

I for one am really glad you are showing all the steps of modeling your layout. I have been reading right along and learning far faster then I would if I had to wade through a bunch of how to books. You have already figured out best methods on many areas so saves people like me from re-inventing the wheel.

When your layout is open to visits again give a shoutout. Hopefully we will still be in Florida and can stop by. In the meantime thanks for the posts and ideas.

Jim,

Thank you, much appreciated.

The layout is open for visits but no telling what project may be going on at the time. Let me know a day or so in advance and we'll make it happen.

My 2 cents -the naysayers have never built a railroad. Keep doing what your doing - there are a lot of people watching and learning.  Thank you for taking the time for the "build thread" - details included.
