Somehow I missed your construction photos when I posted last time. Beautiful work on the street light. Now all you need is about 1000 more just like that one!

Awesome work Tom.  How many are you planning to make?

John,

Much appreciated, thank you. I only have 10 of the plastic posts. I'll cut the brass for those and order a few dozen more. This will be an on going project.

Brunswick Green..a favorite color.

Curt,

I think the Brunswick Green is great for lamp posts. Not sure I'd like it on one of my brass steamers. 8)

Mike,

Good to see you my friend. Thank you for the very kind and generous compliment on the lamp post and the workmanship. It was a fun and quick little build. Now, on to the other few dozen.

Curt,

Thank you, very much appreciate you coming back for a comment. I also appreciate your due diligence in following my threads.

By the way, I forgot to give you the bottle of Floqul Crystal-Cote. I've set it aside for your next visit.

Happy New Year Everyone. I need to get something off my chest.

For the past three years I've had a follower to my threads who has no life. This non important person has been sending me emails denouncing my threads and the work contained therein for quite some time now. I can best call him the "Proverbial Rivet Counter". I've mentioned him doing this in some of my other threads.

I should call him out publicly but I won't. I'm quite confident I'm not the only one who has received his emails. If so, you know who he is. He has been a member of this forum for over three years. He has zip, 0, zilch, nothing, not any, zero, none and or no posts at all.

He emailed me and said my brass lamp post wasn't the same size as the plastic one I was copying. To this I say, "You are correct sir. The one I built is probably a mm or two off in size. Sir, please refer to the following picture to verify your frivolous claim".

Perhaps you didn't notice the small brass washer I neatly soldered to the bottom of my lamp post base. This may account for the difference in size.

To you pea-brained rivet counter I say,

"Please come out of the shadows, stop lurking and introduce yourself to all of us non-rivet counters. And, for our consideration, show us what you've been building. Show us what you've been working on. In fact, just show us anything significant you have all the correct number of rivets on".

You sir, have been educated beyond the level of your intelligence. When common sense was handed out you were obviously in the wrong line. Perhaps you were in the line with the bucket of rivets to be counted.

I want you to take your bed wetting, nose picking, cry baby flashlight and stick it up the euphemistic term for your buttocks and see what you can find. You are probably going to find you are missing a few rivets. Oh, and don't shine the light in your ear as you won't find any rivets at all.

If Webster's had a picture of you, it would be of the south end of a north bound donkey who also counts rivets!

So sir, stick that in your rivet counter. And, by the way, you are now blocked from ever sending me any more of your non-essential emails.

Have a great day, I know I will now!

Tom (Big A-- smile here)

PS:  I'm not mad at you as I realize The Lord didn't see fit to distribute evenly the gift of intelligence.
