I'm itching to build a Fos kit, so here's what's up next. I looked and didn't see any threads on this one.

As usual, some nice documentation by Doug.

I'm going to try some of Mike Engler's methods as demonstrated on his current FSM tribute kit thread...feel the need to get out of the comfort zone and try new methods. With that in mind I distressed the walls with a wire brush, added nail holes, and lifted just a few boards.

Where I thought I'd follow Mike is in the wall painting. Normally I would stain the walls with inkahol or Hunterline and then drybrush my main wall color. Mike suggests a light primer spray first. This made me a little nervous ("Spray my walls gray?!") but I'll take a breath and go for it.

Two concessions I made to my comfort zone...I first did the inkahol and second did a LIGHT primer spray.

Braced the interior per Doug's diagram, painted the interior black, and letting that sit overnight. Next, to find some clean terry cloth to apply the wall color. Doug suggests a light yellow, so I'll snoop around and see what I have.

The rooftop access shed is illustration board. The exterior is covered in "Karl tape" and scale 2 x 10s will be applied. As you can see, I mangled the bottom of the door opening. No worries.

I love photo's, don't we all.

Always good to have you, Jan!👍🏻

I'm in for the fun.

Me too.  I don't have this one.  I guess I should add it to my the 'wish list' my wife uses when she's shopping for presents for me.   ;)

Dave,

I'll be following along on this one. Looks like another great FOS structure.

Here is a better view of the kit.

Welcome Bob, Tom, Greg & John. Picked up a pack of terry cloth wash cloths at WallyMart. They seem pretty thin. I'll try it on some scrap, first. Might be better sneaking some out if the linen closet. Sssshhhhhh🤫
