Tom, you are a braver man than me, cutting cork with a blade.  I prefer to use my rail nippers.
Your work continues to amaze me.

Bob,

Sorry my friend, I missed this post when responding to the others. I've been cutting cork roadbed with a #11 blade for 40+ years. I guess its just second nature at this point. I've never thought of using rail nippers for the cork.

And, thank you for the very kind compliment.

Tom,

The lighting is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure is. Fills the scene nicely. Reflections off the rails in the foreground is a nice effect. Great work.

Vince,

Much appreciate the compliment on the LEDs in the roundhouse. It was fun but I'm glad now they are all working.

That roundhouse is WICKED Dr Evil!  Nice job indeed.  Another inspiring model for the forum.  That makes 10,000+ inspiring models now right Tom?

My God, the Diet Pepsi is on me my friend.

Cousin Brucie,

Thank you cuz for the very generous compliment on the LEDs. Slim finally made some that don't catch fire. Not quite 10,000 but I'm working on it.

I have a Diet Pepsi as I type, thank you. 8)

Tom,

I'm onboard with the other comments.  Simply stunning scene!

The number of posts and photos of the A&S is almost unbelievable.   I cannot even begin to contemplate the sheer dedication required to achieve that huge accomplishment.

Jerry,

Thank you as well. When I build models now, I first think how I plan to light them using LEDs.

As far as the huge accomplishment, it all started with one post, one photo and one page at a time. :P :P :P  Who would have thought!

Tom, that round house is one "sweet" scene under the lights! Can't wait to see it "cluttered up".

Dan,

Thanks very much. Yes, I can't wait to get all the details and people working in and around the area, "clutter and all.

I have a little, okay, a big BOO-BOO to report.

Yesterday, the Judge and I decided to run a passenger train for a change. As luck would have it we needed to bring it up from the bottom/staging level.

When backing out the Pennsy passenger consist, all the cars were derailing.

I'll just cut to the chase here and not write a screed of the events.

When pouring the resin water in the Suwannee River Lagoon area, I did check for any leaks to the lower level. Well, there was one I missed or didn't see.

In the photo below, you can see what appears to be a wet streak down the wall behind the turnout. At one time it was wet.

Thank you the Lord it was only a small leak from above. It pooled a little at the turnout and glued the turnout in the closed position. So when backing out the train, all cars derailed.

I only had about 14 inches of clearance to make the repair.

I will spare ya'll all the #&(*@#$)! words and say after three plus hours the turnout was fixed.

Curt,

Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper making that repair.

PRR A-B-A E Units, 3 head end cars and 9 passenger cars. Only the E Units failed to derail. Dang that is a long train.
