My layout isn't near that complete after 20 years, you're doing incredible work.  But, where was all that stuff before you built the outbuilding?

Tom,

I was aghast when you tore down your old layout.  It is now obvious that your vision for what could be was spot on.  Your layout is simply amazing from my point of view; in conception, construction, and the incredible modeling skills that translate your vision into reality.

That's one nice looking layout. Goes to show what can be done in a narrow space with double decking.

Very inspirational.

Love the before and after pictures.  Your layout is beautiful and it's great to see all the progress you have made.

John,

Thank you for the nice compliment on the layout. Hard to believe I've come this far in that time frame.

Tom, Wow what progress since I saw it last. Love the engine turntable and facility. Beautiful job.

Tom,

Good to see you my friend. Been some time since you were here. The turntable area is a favorite of mine as well.

7 years , mine doesn't look even close to that after 14 years, beautiful layout Tom

Jan,

There were a couple of years in the middle where I had all the time devoted to the layout. Now it seems I don't know when I had time to work.

I've been selling Jim Miller's stuff on Ebay and that requires some time.

And, thank you for the kind compliment.

OMG, The layout is coming along great. Really enjoy the overall picture. Its amazing how much you have accomplished in such a short time. Really looking great Tom. Keep up the wonderful job. It takes a long time to fil in the layout. I know. You are doing an amazing effort on the A&S build. Still looks like a lot of tubs under the layout!

Frank / Erieman

Frank,

Thanks for taking the time to check in on the layout. I'm going to try and be more consistent with the before and after photos on Thursday.

There will always be lots of tubs under the layout. I haven't found a hobby shop I can stock my stuff with.  8)

Jeff,

Thank you for the kind words on the layout progress. My old layout was 54" from the floor so I had lots of room to store stuff under the layout. With the staging level (The Bottoms), I now only have 24" from the floor to the layout. All the stuff was in the kitchen and other parts of the layout room. I got so I moved stuff from spot to spot as the lower level progressed.
