I think you forgot to do the ketchup bottles and napkin dispensers Tom.

You never can have too many of those!  ;)

Really looking great Tom!  The lighting really adds the final touch to a nice build.  Thanks again for all of the detailed info during the build.

Mark,

You are welcome and thank you for the compliment. Another few days and I'll have this one finihsed.

Slim,

Nope, to small to mess with and not worth the effort.

The cafe front has two frame sub assemblies. I painted them Brunswick Green.

The one on top in the photo is glued on top of the one on the bottom.

The frame fits on the front wall as shown. It is not glued to the front yet.

I determined where the second story floor/ceiling fit up against the front wall. I was then able to place four short braces to the upper part of the wall.

I also determined where the cafe booths would fit next to the front window and added two short pieces of 8x8s to the window wall frame.

This really helped in the front wall not being so warped.

Next I glued the windows in the front wall openings. I left the protective papers on them so they didn't get finger prints on them.

This of course worked until I got finger prints on them any way. :'(

Fantastic work my friend. After the last couple of builds I don't think I will ever have a structure without LED lighting. It just adds so much character.

I placed weights the the windows until the glued dried.

John,

Thank you for the complement kind sir. I agree about using LEDs for structures. I can't imagine a build without them.

I installed the bar and stools per the kit instructions. I then added the three booths to the side. Preiser figures were used for the customers.

I also added mustard and ketchup bottles. Coffee cups, sugar dispensers and napkin holders were also added. These all came with the kit and are very tiny, very tiny.

The three front booths were test fitted as well.

I decided to not add tables to the center. It was just to much and a detail that is hard to see. The back bar is bad enough for viewing at ground level.

The front booths were then glued in place.

I then test fit the front wall and when satisfied, it was glued in place. I also made sure it was level.

After the front wall was thoroughly dry, I added the front door piece.

In hind sight, I probably should have glued all the walls together first per the instructions. Since I was gong to add the interior details, gluing the walls together first didn't make any sense.

However, I glued my walls to the base as I moved along in the build. Due to this, I had one very difficult time getting the front door aligned with the other two wall sections.

So, my advice to those who will be building the kit, do what you think is best. I know this doesn't help but I can't see gluing all the walls together if a detailed interior is planned.

I will say that it would have been easier to adjust the walls to the base instead of making the adjustment to the front door.
