Thanks again for the great pictures this layout just keeps getting better - this must have been the weekend for burning things - see my thread.

John,

You are welcome. It has been great seeing the pictures again for me as well!

I did see your thread and the Midwest cork does have bits of rubber in them. I burned one with the soldering iron and it too smell like a burning tire.

Hey, modeling friends, I was getting my weekly fix of Cliff Power's beautiful and very realisitc Alabama, Mississippi & Gulf Railroad. I realized I haven't uploaded any photo updates. I could give ya'll a bunch of excuses but I just have been busy with the Atlantic and Southern ovalix and staging.

Anyway, here is an update for ya'll!

Here we are looking at the diesel servicing facility and on the left the Swift's Premium Meat Packing.

The next seven photos are of the diesel service area.  The service facility is a kit bash from the Walthers Diesel Service kit. The Sand tower is scratch built.

If you have ever wondered if the price of the Kingsmill backgrounds/backdrops are worth it, look at Cliff's backdrop! The backrops are perfectly matched for the area.  http://www.kingmill.com/

I though for sure I'd get some comments on the last set of pictures of Cliff's wonderful layout! Anyway, here are several more to drool over.

We are now moving from the left where the engine service facility is located and to the right towards the coach yard.

The next photo is of the other side of the elevated highway as seen in the right of the photo above.

This scratch built coach yard is the best I've ever seen. Everything is just as it should be. Take a few minutes or longer to really look at the detail Cliff has added to the scene. The level of detail here is simly amazing.

Here is the MAG Freight Terminal. Notice the sign on the lower roof. No detail has gone overlooked.

Here's a look at Southern Ice. Cliff kit bashed this structure from three Walthers Icing Platform kits.

Those Kingmill flats really do work well.  Probably since all the foreground structures look so real as well.  Great work.

John

John,

Thanks for looking in and yes, this layuout does have it all. Just needs to be seen to really appreciate all the details Cliff has included in the scenes.

Jeff

Jeff,

I appreciate you stopping by. The Kingsmill flat really blend in well. I've always liked them and seeing how Cliff blended them into the background on his MAG railroad. This shows just how effective they can be to enhance any background.
