Thanks for the kind words Curt, Rick, Larry, Philip and Jerry.

Jerry, it seems that the contractor involved in the tunnel widening is environmentally friendly.  ;D

Managed some work on the layout today so this installment is called....

The terraforming continues. . . .

Before I get into today's progress

I've been curious to see how it would look with a train coming out of the tunnel into the staging yard area so I made a mock-up of the tunnel opening using a 1" thick piece of pink foam.  When complete this will be a rock face, unless I change my mind.  ;D

On to this evenings work.  I decided to put down a base layer of Scuptamold.  I have never used this product before so I mixed up small batches and applied it to the base.  What is shown here is 2 batches.

A few batches later the base layer is complete.

I "planted" the bridge piers into the Scuptamold so that once the Scuptamold is set the piers will drop in place once the base scenery is done.

A had a couple of small rock castings that I decided to plant into the Sculpamold to give a little variety to the scenery.

I carefully removed the bridges so that I can work on the scenery without worrying about damaging the bridges.

That's it for now, thanks for looking in.
