Larry, I wonder if your hydrocal has gone bad...  Could you put it into a warm (150 or less) oven to see if that helps?

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for breakfast and coffee.  Hope your Dad's appt goes well.

Rick, thanks for the snack.  Hope the trip is full of hiking and fun.

Karl, hope it warms up soon.  Thanks for the photo.

Dave, howdy.

Larry, good luck with the casting.

TomACL, sounds like the 1:1 stuff is getting in the way of having some fun.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 50°F, headed to 74°F, with thunderstorms in the forecast for tonight.

Work on the tank car progresses.  It's down to the details.  Work on the layout is occupying my thoughts, so I hope to start working on it soon.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt and Rick.

Going to  keep this short as it is meeting day, my least productive day of the week.

Currently 64F and hazy herein upper Florida.  I'm a bit at a standstill with the Rexall Drug interior as I"m missing supplies.  I'm going home for a week on the 19th so I might just wait till then and move on to another building in the mean time.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all!

More chores outside today.

Larry, I find plaster of paris works well and is locally available. I used it on all my rock work and also used quick set 20 minute stuff as a filler in between the rocks.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 63F and cool. Yesterday we got the results from Dad's neuro testing. The doc said dad is at the mental status appropriate for his age. The issues he's having are most likely due to his medications.

Yesterday I glued the main components to the diorama base and colored the wood for the open sided shed that sits around the boiler.

Today after chores I'll spend some time at the workbench.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

I need to drop a loco off at UPS but they don't open until 8:30 this morning. After that I'll edge and cut the grass which should take me to noon. Maybe then I'll have time for the work bench.

Have a great day and stay safe everyone.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Great news about your Dad;
medications can do strange things to people. Have fun at the bench.

Tom don't work too hard on the lawn, save some strength for the bench.
I'm still about 4 weeks away from lawn mowing.

Dave thanks for the tip. The Hydrocol is brand new I think I just need to get used to
working with that medium again.

Philip very nice rock work and thanks for the tip.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a cloudy 36 with a high of 49 in New York. My usual Friday errands soon then maybe
some more time at the bench working on more scenery; I see tree making in my future.

Enjoy your day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning everyone.

Cottonwood Canyon State Park weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Good news about dad and will they change his meds?

ACLTom, happy mowing.

Larry, have fun making trees.

Greg, I'm due for a haircut but it will have to wait.

TomO, hope today is drier and warmer.

Philip, that picture you posted of the rocks, is that your layout?

Jerry, how's things?

Ron, hope you're able to get what you need.

Mike, any work on the layout yesterday?

Karl, hope you have nice weather today.

Did a short hike in Mosier, OR in the morning.
Headed east after that to The Dalles.
Got dog food, breakfast meat and fuel there.
Then followed Anne Marie to Cottonwood Canyon.
It was t-shirt weather when we got here.
Walked about 3 miles of a trail in the canyon.
That trail is almost 10 miles and Star and I will do it later this morning.
There's supposed to be a good amount of wildlife here and I hope we see some.

Waterfall I saw yesterday in Mosier.

I forgot to mention today is the U.S. Navy's Submarine Service 125th birthday. There will be some great birthday balls tonight! They are great times speaking from experience.

Rick at this point no, if things worsen then it becomes a different story. Beautiful photo.
