Good evening everyone,

Thought I would keep the tradition alive here in honour of Bill "Geezer" Anderson.

There is various scotches, whisky and other liquors on the counter, soft drinks and cold beer in the fridge.

Have a great evening everyone.

Good morning folks,

Coffee is on and all the drinks are in the fridge.  Breakfast today is huevos rancheros and chorizo.

It's a mild 58F headed to 65F with lots of rain.  I plan to stay inside today and work on something.

I finished painting several figures for Nowlin's yesterday.  I hope to post photos of them, soon.

The old RRL thread of Buffalo Canyon Mining Company will find a new home here.  it will mostly be descriptions and photos.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone.

Anza-Borrego weather: partly cloudy with a high of 70.

Mike, thanks for the second cup and a very delicious breakfast that I've had the pleasure of experiencing in real life.
I'll look for your next update.

Ron, thanks for continuing the Geezer Lounge here.
I guess the admins here are OK with it.
Don't want to step on any toes .  ;D

Star and I walked 6 miles on the Blair Valley Trail yesterday.
Today I'll air the tires down and drive the entire 14 miles of that trail.

Hey! "what do you know" a new Geezers!!!!! I was wondering if anyone would set one up in the O scale sub-forum. Thanks Ron; sorry I missed the open bar.

Like I mentioned in the other chat area I checked RRL forum @ 9:30 and it's gone. I feel bad for Roland since he was all excited it would stay open; I'm going to miss his modeling expertise. If any of you know how to contact him, perhaps he could be made aware of this place; just a thought.

It's great to see Mike has his thread here as well; I'll have to check it out.

Have a great day guys!!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning everyone

Mike thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Larry I'll give Roland a call and see if he wants to come over here.
I don't know if he saved any of his work from the RR line.

Weather in South Jersey 43 and light rain.
Grand daughter came back this morning.

Maybe I'll get some time at the bench will see.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Rain and 450 with fog, less now than earlier.  Rain is to continue most of the day.  I do need to get out a bit later.

Great to have the old Geezer crew here. You all are a fine bunch and lots of smiles for the most part in sharing our varied and diverse experiences.

I've continued to put a couple hours each day on the layout.  I have been trying to do something about electrical continuity with the ladder switches on the main yard.  All #5 handbilt FastTracks that I slaved over and then ballasted and sceniced (spell check says that's spelled wrong) before adequately testing them.  I also was a bit overboard on ballast, too.  Penn Central would be pleased with my deferred maintenance.

Enough for now. Good to see all of you that have moved.

Good morning Mike, Rick, Curt, Larry, Jerry, Karl and the rest of the crew that finds it way here.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Mike, have a great day.

Rick, When I thought about opening the lounge here, I was worried about stepping on someone's toe, but seeing as the Admins opened up a section for us, I figured that the Admin's would be OK with it.  Have fun driving on the trail today.

Curt, enjoy your day.

Larry, I hope Roland makes it here too, I'll miss his modeling id he doesn't.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench.

Karl, rain? We are still getting snow here.  Hope the electrical issue gets solved soon.

Currently -8c (18f) and overcast here in Southeastern Ontario.  Manages a little work on the staging yard as I cut the hole for the turntable and installed the turntable, now I can finish the cork roadbed.  I see an update in my future :) , but first I have to post one more update to bring my thread up to date.

Have a great day everyone.

Jerry if he wants to come over here and DIDN'T save any of his photos I have about 175 from his layout that I started downloading when I first heard the other forum might be closing. I would happily send him a copy if he wants. Let me know what happens.

Good Morning men.  Saturday morning here down in Oz.
Good to see many familiar faces, and the continuation of this group.  I hope others will come along for the ride.
Glad they set up the specific O narrow Gauge thread.  I'll  certainly be contributing here as they don't have a mini / micro layouts thread.

Although RRL is gone, I still have all my photos from the last few years and most of my other photos, both O scale & N scale, plus convention and other folks layouts, from many years ago.  So it's only the text that I've lost, so no big deal.

But I'm treating this as a fresh start.  I don't think I'll re-post too much of my old stuff here, unless folks are interested.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is pastry from Sam's Club, cereal, coffee, OJ, and soda.

Just helped MOH load up the van for a skunk rescue event about 75 minutes away. Daughter was supposed to go but canceled this morning. Yesterday was all about errands including getting 4 quart size cans of paint for when the walls are back together which I hope is this coming week.

Today I'm on a second load in the washer already and after breakfast I need to stucco patch 3 spots outside where faucets were moved during the re-pipe. The holes have expandable foam in them. MOH didn't want me to fill them until the inspection was done. After that will be workbench time.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning to Crew.

Thanks Curt for this morning's opening. As you know I model in HO and will weather any scale. Bill Andersen (Geezer) is why this regular scale modeler ended up in a O scale narrow gauge forum lounge.

When I was sick 8 months after retirement Bill communicated with me to keep fighting and keep my head up. He said join in and just say hello. The guys don't care which scale you model. I have appeared often since.

It is fitting the Geezers Lounge was brought over from the now defunct and sadly gone RRL forum. A new beginning but a fitting rememberance. The forum maybe gone but the Lounge is alive

Thanks for all the greetings, welcomes and kindness from the members and administration of The Modelers Forum

Long live the Lounge
