Howdy Philip, good point and it is in the plan to make a "steel" plate base under the forge.  ~mike

Mike,

Your work is all amazing, and that's a fine-looking layout.
I like everything you have built. I have a mine to build too and I
will get some inspiration to do mine from your posts. Thanks
for sharing.

Howdy Curt and Rich,

Thank you for the fine comment that humbles me so much. You guys inspire me with your work, too.

Have fun,
mike

Rick

Mike, I don't know why, but for some reason none of your pictures are showing on my computer.
I used to be able to see them, but now I can't.
No problems seeing pictures in other threads.

Jerry

Mike that is really wonderful work!!

Rick I can them all maybe you have something blocked??

Rick, I modified the last post and saved it.  Perhaps that will help.  I usually reduce the size of photos to 350 pixels. ~mike

'Mornin' Mike- I'm trying to keep upwith all the "going-ons"...and your fine work never ceases to amaze me ;) ...That's one fine derrick; the detail is outstanding and it looks completely 'at home' on the layout; which, by the way-is looking great also... ;D  ;D ....keep it up...and Merry Christmas....... 8)  8)

Howdy folks,

Kyle, Merry Christmas to you, and thank you for the kind words

The forge shed has walls, and the corrugated roofing is in the clamps.  I'll post the finished shed later today.

The resin and cast details are in the ultrasonic cleaner in preparation for priming.  Lots of detail painting is in my future.

Have fun,
mike

friscomike

Howdy folks,

The forge shed is finished, except for the details.  To be added are the forge, cabinet, tools, and drill bits. Before I glue it all together, I'll complete the rigging, which doesn't seem like a trivial task.

Derrick side of the forge shed with the hood in place.

Back side of the shed.

Shed in place on the derrick.

The primer on the detail parts is drying, so they are next on the bench.

Have fun,
mike

Really, really good Mike. I've been meaning to ask-It looks like this will sit right on the edge of your layout. Do you have something to keep it god forbid from becoming a floor model?
