Howdy folks,

The water tower is coming along.  Here are photos of the completed roof.  Thanks to all for suggestions and comments.

The water spout is next on the workbench.

Have fun,

Nice job Mike.  I like the water leaks makes it look realistic!

Howdy folks,

Thank you, Jeff, Jeff, Dave, Jerry, Curt, Philip, Rick, and Jerry, for your support. Your encouragement kept me going.

Today, I worked on the water tower rafter tails and spout mechanism.

The water spout is mostly complete except for some touch-up painting.  I used fly-tying lead thread for the cables.  The pulleys were left over from a plastic ship model I built in 1969 (I never throw anything away, lol).

Here are two views of the spout..

The spout was made with telescoping sections of aluminum pipe.  The connectors were made with bronze eyebolts.

The final rafter tails are in place and will be cut with nail clippers when the glue dries.

The finale is coming soon...

Have fun,
mike
