Hello Mike, I like the picture of your land forms and am looking forward to see what you do with the next steps in your scenery process. Have fun with the messy part.

Howdy folks,

Jeff, thank you for the compliment. I'm looking forward to the next steps, too.   ;D

The plaster cloth base for sculptamold on the leftmost land form was the task for today.  The abutment and landform will attach to a module in Phase II.

Next, I'll begin work on the opposing abutment.

Have fun,

Howdy foks,

SCULPTAMOLD!

But first, Curt, Rick, Philip, and Jerry, thank you for your kind and encouraging comments.

I finally, after much procrastination, started applying Sculptamold to the layout.  I'll need to go over it with coarse sandpaper to knock down some of the protruding plaster and add another coat in some spots.  I'm happy how it is going.  Here are a few photos of this morning's progress.

The leftmost abutment,

the road and pads for the structures are next,

a little further down the Caprock,

and back to the abutments.

The road will have stone embankments in many places.  A stone bridge will cross the ravine displayed in the third photo.

After my back rests for a while, I'll put tape over the track and work on the Caprock area.

Have fun,

Mike, applying Sculptamold was always fun for me and hope it is for you too.

Looks like you have the hang of it Mike.  Even if it's messy your doing a good job.

Howdy folks,

Curt, Rick, Jeff, Ron, Jerry, and Larry, thank you for your continued support and suggestions.  I certainly appreciate them.

This morning I finished the first coat of Sculptamold on Phase I.  After it dries, I'll sand it and fill in any holes I missed.

Here are photos of progress.

It sure is fun playing with Sculptamold.  Brings back the mud pie memories at Grandma's house in the country.

Have fun,
mike
