Howdy Kyle,

That's a great job of hiding the corner.  I'm impressed with your work, as always.

Have fun,

OK Kyle, you can stop showing off now.  ;D  :o

You made the corner completely disappear and the scenery looks fantastic.

Pat yourself on the back buddy, can't wait to see what you do next.

Thanx Larry C*., thanx Mike, and thanx Ron;

Here's a shot of this mornings' (Sunday) work on the backdrop above Grizzly. :) The green mountains (that Michael said didn't look right) that I erased last night have given way to the high desert.....as was started last night :) I continued to develope the area today adding small 'scrub trees and lots of sand/desert grass ;D  ;D  ;D.....hope it all looks OK to ya'lls' eyes ??? 'cause I take all ya'lls' comments, recommendations, suggestions, snubs, raspberries etc..:o  :o  ;D very seriously ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D.........

Definitely a "Monument Valley" vibe to that background, Kyle.   Looks great, you achieved good depth in the end result.

Hello Kyle, I'm very impressed with the way that you are blending the colors of the backdrop into the colors of the foreground scenery. Beautiful modeling and artistry.

Howdy Kyle, both backdrops looked terrific, but I do like the aired look of the second one.  Nice work, as usual.  Have fun, mike

Thanx Dave, thanx Jeff, and thanx Mike; ;D  ;D

Yesterday (Monday) I worked a bit on the opposite (Dilapidated) side of the backdrop, took some shots and was horrified to realize that I'd broken one of my most firm rules; :o  >:( never accentuate the corner with downward 'lines' going  inward even when it's a curved backdrop.....ALWAYS have the horizon and main 'scenery lines' going upward towards the corner............note:

Thanx Larry C*.; "I don't know what'd give you that idea?" :o  ::) to quote the great James Garner in "Support Your Local Sheriff" 8)  8)  8) .....Anyways this evening...(Wednesday)..I did a little work on 'fixing' the backdrop corner's  "perspective issues" at Dilapidated; mind you it's only a start ???  ??? ........so here's the ol' before and after.......

Thanx Curt, thanx Phillip, and thanx Larry C*.,

I've reached the point on the backdrop where I can stop, look and examine.... :o  :o  8)  8) ....2 of the 3 corners are 'done' ;D - the distances and perspectives involved from the foreground 'through the background' to the horizon are where I like them ;);- and the right hand side of 'the thing' at Dilapidated is evolving nicely and quickly ;D  ;D without much changing or re-doing.

I did restart part of 'the thing' in the form of re-doing much of the foreground rockwork/landforms in Dilapidated to the left (as you're facing it) of the Depot and above the engine shed yesterday (Friday) evening :o  :o  in order to facilitate a more 'uniform flow' from the foreground through to the horizon and 'around the corner' ::)  :o  ;D....the changes have made things look a lot more 'natural' I think..... ;D  ::)  given my penchant for "fanciful or 'fantastical'geology" ........ ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D .....

Anyways :) here's a look-see at the progress...........let me know what ya'll think.......after this (the backdrop) is 'done' ;D  ;D .. I'm moving on to finishing the track work.. ;D  ;D  ;D so I can RUN SOME TRAINS....... :o  :o  :o  :o  ;)  ;)..................................

Current status of Dilapidated.......I still have to finish the rest of the 'rockwork land forms' and add the retaining wall and some vegitation and trees......

Well.. that's about all for now- I'm gonna take a break tomorrow (Sunday) and get some 1:1 done....... ::)  ::)  ::) .....ya'll stay tuned and thanx again for the comments and suggestions and support ;D  ;D  ;D they go a really long way.......... ;D  ;D  ;)  ;)  ;)  8)  8)  8) .....see ya.......................
