Mike, you do such nice work on these cars.
I like the way you color the wood and paint the details.

Mike, Howdy,

Another great job on another interesting freight car. I'll say, "Hay, it looks good."

Howdy folks,

Curt, Rick, Rich, Tom, and Larry, thank you a million for the encouragement and comments.  They make me smile.

Today I finally finished adding and painting the stirrups and couplers (I discovered to my surprise that all my couplers were for HOn3). :-[   The stock pen and supply walls were finished and added to the deck of the flat.  The trucks were built, painted, and installed on the car. The brake wheel was painted and will be installed when it's dry.

The next task is to paint all the details, which include a cow, milk jug, crates, barrel, chicken, and chicken coup.  I'm not sure what else I'll add, maybe a stack of feed sacks and a hay bale. BCMC decals and numbers will also be applied.

After all that is done, I'll do a final dusting with pigments to give it the southwest look.

Here are photos of the car's current state.

Have fun,
mike

My current build is the Masonic Lodge and miscellaneous rolling stock .
