Morning all.

Raining here this morning.  I had hoped to do the first lawn mowing of the year, since it's going to break 70 degrees later, but it may be too wet.

I've got a haircut appointment this morning and a trip to PT for the wife this afternoon, otherwise no plans for hump day, unless it dries out enough to mow.

Morning everyone

I put the coffee on for you guys.

It's a sunny/39 here in South Jersey.

Some chores around the house this am.
Then some bench time.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Hazy sun, 34 heading to 44.  "Wintery Mix" predicted for tonight/tomorrow, but this far southeast we'll just get rain.

More work on the rocks today, adding the different strata colors.

Ice, horizontal rain, thunder, power still out from Sunday. Storm coming in waves thru out the day.

Power company erroneous sent txt msg we'd been restored around 0300, was dozing, it seems Our stub line from town still is out. By reading their map we are back at Square 1 in the queue  :(.

Power co text system is AI generated and messages disingenuous at least if not totally ;)  outright prevarication. Have not found a live person access phone number. Probably wouldn't be nice if I did talk with someone, who wouldn't deserve mistreatment.  >:(

Plenty of other people are much worse.

Sorry for the rant.

Be well all.

Almost afternoon everybody.

Looks like we are going to get the Wisconsin's stuff here this afternoon. I'll be in the Basement modeling room and later at the chiropractor. Awaiting a load of 2500lbs. of coal for the next two winter seasons. Aux. heat in the living room.

Been working on the quarry cars. I'll post an update in the "Layout tour" section sometime today.

Stay warm and dry. And safe.

Good evening, all. I spent the day at Seashore Trolley Museum helping connect power to the overhead wire we installed last week. I got home in time for dinner, now working on emails.  A bit late to do much with the layout tonight, but tomorrow's bad weather will make up for that.

Evening, All!

47, feels like 43, off and on rain for most of the night, and still lots of hard labor to do outdoors for the power companies trying to set things to rights north and south of my bunker in the northern mitten. Check out some of the videos in various places... they're scary stuff!  Ice belongs on rinks and drinks, and not in trees, roads, etc.! In their honor, I have a crew in making up MidRats, with Switch Tender Blend in the silver bullet, Luftwaffles, brats, bacon, chicken, steaks and taters on the grille and the usual complement of maple syrup and various hot and cold libations available at the end of the counter.

We just finished an Op Session and debrief here, and despite my best efforts things seem to be improving all around!  I had a number of maintenance issues that needed attention (some still do) and that was annoying, but the crew dealt with them and had a great time.  We have a whole new set of scheduling information from one of the guys working on his NMRA Chief Dispatcher certificate... he seems to have turned this into a crusade and everyone benefits from it!  I need to get a bunch of healing done with various ailments, but they all had a ball, and I'm looking forward to more progress.

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!
