Good morning folks,

Ron, thanks for opening, tea, and breakfast.  Enjoy your time off and touring.

Larry, hope it warms up there soon.  Jacob's Landing looks great!

Karl, congrats on the layout wiring.  Is it finished?

Dave, Winchendon is looking good.  Enjoy the fire pit.

TomACL, good luck with the outdoor work.  Is it humid there?

Rick, it looks like every camping spot is a winner there.  Enjoy the relaxing day.

Jerry, the picnic sounds like fun.  Wishing you a fantastic day.

Philip, sorry to hear about the root canal.  Also sad to hear about Ft Knox being an ordeal. Good luck with the concrete.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a hazy morning with a forecast of 83°F.  This afternoon, Sharon and I are attending a cooking class for Indian food.  It should be fun.  Applying shingles is on the bench for the day.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning from Pasadena. It's a beautiful city with a nice vibrant feel to it and absolutely gorgeous Spring weather but I couldn't live here for more than a couple weeks.

Traffic here is as bad as anyplace in the world I have driven but with definitely more road rage!

The wedding rehearsal dinner last night was spectacular. Met a big name star, Joey King who married the bride's cousin a couple years ago. Missed George Wendt who passed away last week and was a friend of the bride's family. He I have met over the years at family gatherings in Chicago at my sister's. A nice guy always funny.

I promised my brother in law years before he passed to watch over my sister and niece. He was given 6 months to live when we had that talk. He lasted another 25 years +. Today I get to hand the niece over to a super nice guy and I feel I have kept my promises. My brother and I will still watch over my sister and check in on the niece.

Some $$$ drama the last few weeks with arrangements but last night went off without any real problems. The groom's parents(divorced) agreed to pay for the rehearsal dinner and the booze today at the wedding. I will not pay for alcohol for anyone let alone moochers at an open bar wedding. I'm doing the dinner! The groom's dad did pay for the booze last night but refused for today and mom backed out paying the rehearsal dinner that the she meticulously $$$ put together her way. My brother took care of the dinner last night and will do the booze today. The groom in person last night let both his mom and dad know in a speech who jumped in to save their bacon and who he knew he could trust for help in the future. That was interesting. Other than the bride and groom, my brother and my immediate family before yesterday no one else knew his mom and dad had pulled their promises. Everyone knew last night

Looking to have another great day with the wedding at 4:30.

Tomorrow my sister is hosting a getaway brunch for 50 that I think is crazy but like at our daughter's wedding I just nod my head, stay out of the way and use the credit card when I'm told.

The daughter married 19 years ago at 24 years old. Her cousin, my niece is 42 and this is her 1st marriage our son is 40 and unmarried but with a super girlfriend but there are no expectations.

Have a good day the crew here is waking up

Afternoon All,

Last night I started getting sick again. When I got up I did a Covid test that came back positive. I went to the Urgent Care and they said it's not Covid but the flu variant A. :'( I've been to the drug store to get Tamiflu and something for coughing. It seems like it never ends. :-\

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Bend weather: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Assorted bagels and muffins along with all the schmears you like are out for your breakfast consumption.

Greg, keep on relaxing.

Curt, so sorry you're not feeling well again.
Hope the Tami-flu gets you feeling much better soon.

TomO, bummer about the who's paying for what and the drama that goes with it.
Have fun at the wedding.

Mike, how was the cooking class?

Philip, sorry about Gena's dentist woes and your pharmacy troubles.
Hope today is much better.

Jerry, how was the picnic?

Dave, thanks for the nice compliment.

ACLTom, is the lawn ready for the Better Homes & Gardens photo shoot?  ;)  ;D

Karl, is the second car fixed?

Dale, I enjoyed seeing your update.

Larry, how's the NY weather this weekend?

Ron, not real excited about today's race but maybe there will be some surprises.

Star and I did a nice 4 mile hike up and or the ridge in front of us and then back around to the van.
Another hike this morning at the Oregon Badlands that's just down the road.
I up super early and hope to get some sunrise pictures.

Hope this isn't a duplicate.
Sunset at Thors Well.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, breakfast, and the fantastic photo. Wishing you a good hike and fun day.

Curt, that creates a vacuum.  Sending get-well-soon thoughts your way.

Greg, wishing you a weekend of relaxation.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a cloudy morning with a high forecast of 82°F. Sharon and I had fun at the cooking class, which was taught by a mother-and-son team of professional chefs.

Yesterday, I finished one of six panels for the hexagon roof.  It's slow work applying cedar shingles, but the look is good, I think.  Today, I hope to continue the roof work.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone, just black coffee for me Rick, thank you.
It has been 2 or 3 weeks since I have posted, I just went through a motivation lag that I am coming out of now. I have a new level of motivation after getting the roof done on the Shipyard build, I am glad it is behind me, I have always struggled with roofs for some reason.
Cloudy wet and cool in Northern Colorado this morning, setting up to be a rainy day I think. Good thing as we need it bad. Rain also gives me a chance for some bench time today.
Hope everyone has a great day in the middle of this 3-day holiday weekend.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Beautiful sunset.

I feel slightly better this morning but still sleeping poorly. The thing that really pisses me off is I'm most likely going to miss meeting Ron this coming weekend at Tom's. :-X  :'(

That's it for me.

I hope everyone has a good day.

We have sun this morning  8) but only 400 for now. Will warm to 60+ "they" say.

Mowed half the place yesterday. Can't keep up with it  :( more today?  Probably keep a close eye on the Indy 500 as I have for most of well over 70 years, from listening to Sid Collin's and Freddy Agabashion in radio days, hurrying home from the parade to get it tuned in. They painted a wonderful word picture for a once young mind.

I bought more wire for the layout at Menards. Mike et al: DONE and FINISHED are not in my modeling vocabulary  ::)

Vehicle #2 not fixed yet. The bank is running tight currently.

Little to add this morning. Be well all.

Morning all, I'm 10-8

Thanks for breakfast Rick, the sunset photo is wonderful. Even Thor would approve.

I do get many compliments on the yard and grass. I take pride in my lawn and like the curb appeal it gives.

Curt, Ron is coming to visit until June 7th, so, you have two weeks to get over the crud. I do hope you feel better soon.

Today, for the first in a couple of weeks, I'll actually work on the Magnuson builds.

Car 15 to headquarters, I'm 10-7.

Good morning, all.  I like your photo, Rick.  The NH seacoast has just moved on from a week of rain/damp.  But the break doesn't look long enough to start haying yet.  In a normal year the first field gets done before June.

Good morning Rick, Mike, Dale, Curt, Karl, ACLTom, James and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, great sunset picture.  I'm hoping that the mandatory 2-stop will add some excitement, but this is usually the most boring race of the year.

Mike, glad you enjoyed the cooking class, I love to cook and that is something I always wanted to do.

Dale, we all go through those phases, glad your over the funk.

Curt, Tom's is still 2 weeks away (June 7th) still lots of time to get over the crud, hope you feel better soon.

Karl, more wire?  Sounds like you are really making progress on the layout.

Tom, glad to hear that you are back to work on the Magnuson builds, looking forward to seeing the progress.

James, enjoy yourself today.

Well it
s currently 77F and sunny here.  Spent a great day yesterday exploring St. Augustine and playing tourist, can easily spend a couple of days there site seeing.  But the time I got back home I was to tired to do anything, so it was early to bed for me.

Here is another lighthouse pic for Jerry, an east coast one this time, the St. Augustine Lighthouse.

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Another super picture!

Mike looking forward to the shingles on that roof.

Dale glad your back working on the shipyard.

God Curt I hope you get over this flu thing quickly.

Karl I hope your wiring is coming to end soon.

Tom I've seen pictures of the yard that you posted it is beautiful.

James enjoy the day.

Thanks Ron great picture of the lighthouse.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/63.  Later on 68.
The picnic was great we all had a great time.
Weather wasn't the best but it didn't rain.  The food and drinks were perfect.
Not sure what's on the agenda today.
Later this evening there will be some bench time.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Good Morning,

Keeping it brief today. We lost power AGAIN about 8:30 am until 10:10 am. NO wind or rain. We've averaged
one a month for the past three months; although thankfully only a short time for once. Starting to really p*ss me off; need to do something after this holiday is over.

Still in the 50's and rainy. Going to Daughters this afternoon to help hang some pictures; just being a Dad.

Enjoy the rest of your day!! Be well.
