Good morning,

Curt, thanks for the birthday wish, coffee, and yogurt.

Rick, thanks for the birthday wish.  Looks like the trail was a busy one.

Philip, thanks for the birthday wish.  Excellent work on the camel back.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 73F, headed to a cooler 83F.  PT is on tap this morning, and visitation this evening for a lodge member who passed away. I finished the roadbed for Main Street and hope to start the next phase of work this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Happy Belated Birthday Wishes for Mike.

Very busy day for us. I have two Dr. app. one at 9:45 and the other at 11:45 this morning. Pam and I need to drop some paperwork off at the DMV and then turn in all the meds from her mom. CVS has a secure drop box for unused and expired meds.

Probably no modeling for me today.

I was at the local hobby shop Tuesday and they now carry a full line of AK Interactive paints.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick enjoy your day getting things caught up and for the gorgeous photo.
Working on the Cooper's roof atm.

Philip nice to hear yo were able to get to the shop.

Mike Happy Belated Birthday and have fun at the bench.

Tom hope you get all your running around done,

What's the rest of you doing today.

It's a sunny 69 with a high of 85 in New York; maybe some rain storms later; hopefully not. Not sure about today but maybe a little bench time at some point.

Have a wonderful day!! Be well and be safe.

Cool and rainy in SE NH, but we can use the rain.  I'm not complaining about temperature, 66 heading to 75.

Tom, I recently moved my prescriptions from CVS to the local supermarket.  The people in the store are good, but CVS' IT -sucks-.  When their phone system hung up on me, that was the last straw.  Their automated systems lose prescriptions and auto-fill others, despite my asking them to NOT do that.

My steel 'shafts' arrived last night, so I'll probably install the shaft hangers today.  I'm trying to decide if I can do that without gluing the shaft into position.  (2 ways to do this:  (1) locate and glue the hangers onto the shaft, and then install the entire assembly.  Advantage:  easiest.  Disadvantage:  everything that goes on the shaft has to be in position.  (2) Glue the hangers but let the shaft float.  Advantage:  I can then install different pulleys on the shaft if I change my mind again about machine locations.  Disadvantage:  A lot more fiddly!.)

Sunny  8) here and cool. 60s

The truck appears to have made its way with no further problems. The crew worked on the roof next door until 9 pm. I don't hear anything activity from them yet today. Typical construction crew, bust their a$$e$ for a day, make some progress and then disappear to who knows where.

The fiber guys, no show.  ::)

Today?  No idea, yet. Mmmm, if only coffee tasted like it smells....

That's enuf for now.

Happy Birthday, Mike. For some reason I thought it was same as mine, 15th. Hope it went well.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Good morning Curt, Rick, Philip, Mike, ACLTom, Larry, Dave, Terry, Jerry, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.

Mike, happy belated birthday.

Going to make this short as Thursday is still meeting day.  :o

Currently 24C (75F) and slightly cloudy today.  Spent some time last night playing with my new 3D printer and printed some samples.  Printer works like a charm and produces very nice prints.  I think I'm going to be really happy with this purchase.   Not sure what tonight will bring.

Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon from Wisconsin. I am waiting for the formally non-existent forecasted thunderstorms to get here. On radar a few minutes ago I would say 30 miles away but for the past hour I can hear the thunder. This morning there were no storms in the forecast and the newly hired weather cutie said rain in our area is 0%!

Rick, I do look in here every other day or so. I keep up with your adventures via FB. I have really cut back the online stuff.

Things here are good. Health for the both of us have turned toward the better. I stopped asking about our travel plans to the Pacific Northwest in September. I got that "wifey" stare last week when I asked. No clue what she's waiting for...

The weathering commissions on freight cars are way down (as planned) but the diesels are really up and actually skyrocketing. 2 or 3 a week is fine but I don't want to do 5+ a week. I no longer advertise but have let my client list know I'm slowly getting out of commission work. I wanted the travel plans to work out scheduling.

While ignoring my own layout I am working on 2 others alternating which one I go to every other week. I have designed a paper mill for each and one of them will look familiar to Karl up at Northern Command. Seems Andy Kenney's Nashville Road per his FB page has the brick front facades I'm working on. I was eliminating Facebook sites today and forgot I belong to the Nashville Road page. I kept it! I spent more time this afternoon looking at FB eliminating groups I rarely visit than all time total online this month.

I see Ammo by Mig has become a talking point online for the paint line. I have quite a few bottles, the oil brushers, the pigments and Playmarkers. I'm not a fan though I like the Playmarkers for doing custom graffiti. The paints seem more like ink than a paint. YMMV

Be well

Andy's brick fronts are from a now out of business company that started out making laser cut kits and moved on to make those high def building backgrounds. King Mill or something like that. Andy mounted them on black foam core boards and had them all along the Maine line that passes behind the mid layout yard. They are quite effective. They are no longer available. One of those flash in the pan one man bands that came and went.

The Nashville Rd is open during the NMRA at NoVI, next week?

No Facebook here, now or ever. Evils lurk there.

Good Morning,

Morning beverages are set to go. Breakfast is hash and eggs along with English muffins.

What your plans for the day.

For those of you following my blog I posted another Chapter yesterday.

It's a sunny 68 with a high of 88 in New York. Have the usual Friday errands to run. Received an interesting email from Carrol Creek Designs. Not only did he let me know my rr cars were on their way but he threw in a FREE caboose for the delay in shipping. I replied with a big thank you; they should arrive sometime today.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning everyone.

Twin Falls weather: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
That's great service getting a free caboose.

YomO, I understand about cutting web usage, but I still get concerned when I don't hear from all of you.
Very happy that health for both of you is for the better.

Greg, time does fly by.

Ron, glad the printer is working well.

Karl, any fiber guys sightings?

Jerry, glad those storms didn't cause you any problems.

Terry, nice to see you here.

Dave, hope the shaft hanger install went well.

ACLTom, hope the doctor visits was all good news.

Curt, how's the pool looking?

Mike, sorry about the loss of your lodge friend.

Philip, good news from the shop?

Yesterday was mostly a driving day to Twin Falls.
Laundromat first thing today then more driving to Boise.
I'm having hiking withdrawal and trying to get closer to the Sawtooth's.

Sunrise at the Tetons from one of my campsites when I was there.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Sounds like great customer service.

Today the focus outside is touch up painting of the stucco patch. Of course there will be two different colors involved and pool filter cleanings. The good news is the pool is clean and clear. I'm scheduled for a haircut at 1 pm also.

Not much else going on here.

Tom is the train shed open for visitors tomorrow?

Rick safe travels.

I hope everyone has a good day.
