Good morning everyone.

Spokane weather: Showers and thunderstorms before 2pm, then a slight chance of showers. High near 78.

ACLTom, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Have fun BS'ing with Curt and the Judge and anyone else that shows up.

Curt, have fun at Tom's.

Ron, enjoy your weekend.

Karl, hope you're not very sore from PT and did the decoder arrive?

What's everyone else doing?

Mail was supposed to show up today but got an email yesterday it won't arrive till Tuesday.  :-X  :-\
Want to do a hike today but I'll see if the rain materializes first.

After 1,700' feet of climbing we had another 600' to do to get to the top of Abercrombie Mountain.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Everyone,

Tom thanks for the coffee and breakfast this am. Have fun running trains and of course the BS'ing. Yard work can be exhausting.

Curt get some rest today; glad your Dad got back early.

Rick hope the rain holds off so you can get a hike in. Great photo!

What are your plans.

It's a sunny 68 with a high of 90 in New York; maybe some spotty storms later on. Had to take Mr.B back to the Vet yesterday for another antibiotic shot to curb his persistent sneezing doing another recheck in 2 weeks. I think he's tired of seeing the Vet; I know I am but it is what to is I suppose. Did manage about an hour at the bench yesterday. Maybe today?

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Rick, if you like honey, keep your eyes out for a bottle of local Fireweed honey.  It's one of my favorites (along with Buckwheat and Manuka)

It got down to 54 last night, on its way to 83 today.  Scotch Club this afternoon, but in the meantime I'll do some more work on the machine shop.

Sun and heat on tap in Michigan today with a bit of rain a possibility mid afternoon into the evening. The humidity is up there in the 90% range,  :P

The guy in brown dropped off the decoder and I will take a bit of a peak at getting that unit going sometime later.  I managed to tinker with a couple of other loco's in my 'fleet' yesterday and then spend a couple hours with the layout project in the evening. Ballast and ground cover.  Mine never looks like much I have seen on here... :(

PT was, ok,  :-\  did my morning reps already this morning.

Time to check out the plans for today.

Thanks for the breakfast, ACL-Tom! well thought out for us middle of the road pseudodieters and finger pokers. :o

Good luck with the mail "dis-service" Rick.  They are either lightning fast or horrendously out of touch and little in between.  Been promised a package for the Doll since Wednesday that is ping-ponging across the state.  >:(   The med school dropout here left a package that didn't fit in the mailbox on the trash bin by the garage one day last week.  Found by chance.

It looks like all of demi-god Harbaugh's bs antics have been inflicted upon the holy temple of football in A2 to the sum of millions of $$ and suspensions of those that didn't take the mid-night train out of town when the getting was good as he did.  Oh hail the mighty as they have fallen.

Little to add from here in MI.

Good morning ACLTom, Curt, Rick, Larry, Dave, Karl and the rest of the crew that shows up later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Tom, enjoy the morning BS'ing with the judge and Curt.

Curt, have fun at Tom's.

Rick, enjoy your hike (if the rain holds off).  Hopefully your mail will show up sooner than expected.

Larry, hope you find some bench time today.

Dave, enjoy your scotch club later on today.

Karl, Glad to hear that your decoder arrived, have fun with the install.

Currently 19c (66f) and cloudy here, but no rain in the forecast.  Well my day off yesterday turned into a work from home day as things piled up.  :-\  No modeling yesterday, but there will be some today.  ;D

Have a great day everyone.

Nice picture to start the day.  I hope you get you hike in.

Yes Karl the mailman can find lots of places to put the mail outside of the box!!!

Ron hope you make the bench with interruption today!

Weather today is cloudy/80.  Later 88 and humid.
Had a nice time with friends yesterday at the beach.

A couple of times, Amazon has left packages in the garage WHERE THE CAR WOULD RUN OVER THEM.  In one case, I didn't see it, and ran over the package.  Fortunately the item wasn't damaged.  But I've reminded the delivery people "Uh, make sure you don't leave packages where they would be run over."  It would be an extra step or two to put them to one side or another in the garage.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, yogurt, bagels, OJ and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at a 79F. The temp was mild but the humidity was still bad.

Had a great time listening to Tom and Bill BS'ing yesterday. Tom was extremely generous and gave me a set of marker lights and a pkg of KD trucks to use with the lights. After getting home I ordered a Bowser cabin car kit which were surprisingly hard to find if you don't want a RTR version.

I recieved notice this morning that the K.I.R. kit has shipped. It will be interesting to see how long it takes from the UK to here.

Today I have the normal Sunday chores and I need to brush the pool.

Tom thanks again for your generosity and kindness.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Feel free to keep the humidity down there. Nice gift from Tom; even though I don't know him he strikes as that type of person. Interesting to see how long the trip from the UK takes. Have fun with the Bowser kit.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a sunny 68 with a high of 83 in New York; maybe a little rain later on. Not much going on here but maybe some bench time later on.

Have an enjoyable day!! Be well.

After late afternoon storms and some overnight rain it is warm, 70s, and humid today in South Michigan.  Less heat expected for today.

Daughtre and grand daughter and possibly son in law coming later today.

I put the decoder into the locomotive and it doesn't seem to want to work.  Everything I touch lately goes south on me...trouble shoot sometime later. :-\

I did spend some time with the layout section I'm throwing dirt at to make it look decrepit. (hmm thought that had a "D" at the end... :-X )

That;s it from here.  Everyone have a fine day.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck with the KIR kit delivery.

Larry, wishing you a relaxing and fun day.

Terry, thanks for stopping by.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning with a forecast high of 92F.  Since it is Georgia and August, an afternoon shower is in the forecast.

We had a fun time with family celebrating SIL's retirement from the fire department.  Yesterday was a surprise party at a local restaurant, followed by an axe-throwing event.  Amazing what young people find for entertainment. We will continue the celebration today and tomorrow at our daughter's place on the lake.  SIL just bought a new boat, so fun awaits.

Have fun,
mike

Morni9ng all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt, the OJ is nice and cold not to mention fresh off the tree.  ;D

Curt and Terry, You are both very welcome and thank you for the nice compliments.

We got almost three inches of rain last night starting at around 7PM.

I got up early and read a couple chapters from a W. Johnstone western.

My plan for today is to work on the caboose thread and get an update on the forum.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Good Morning;

Enjoyed the coffee and even got a swim in this morning. Over an inch of rain yesterday and thunder that rattled the house. Apparently more of the same today. A good day to work on bench project, FOS Engine House. I took it to local modeling group Friday and asked the two MMR members if they thought it might pass for a merit award in my quest to achieve the AP Structures designation. No one ever says no but 'maybe' is the new no. They said 'maybe'. Oh well I like it as is so on the layout it will go. I will still see what judges say to see where I am missing points but I model so it fits my layout.

Speaking of which after this guy is done I am going to switch back to layout work, time for a change. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone.

Spokane weather: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Congratulations on the gifts from Tom and the Bowser kit.

Jim, as long as you like the way the engine house looks that's all that matters.

ACLTom, have fun working on the caboose.

Mike, sounds like lots of fun yesterday.

Karl, I know you'll figure out the decoder issue.

Larry, have fun at the bench.

Terry, good morning.

How's the rest of the crew doing.

Star and I did a hike along the Spokane river.
Rain finally stopped after 9 and we did 6 miles.
I wanted to do more but because of the late start I cut the hike short.
Not a thing planned for today.

A view rom yesterday's hike.
