Great view Rick, enjoy your lazy day.

Jerry, It does sound like a beach day today.

Currently 18c (64f) and overcast with rain all day in the forecast.  I did manage some bench time last night and finished laying the staging yard trackage.  Next up is the bridge crew to construct the bridge required to connect the staging yard to the rest of the layout.  Will post an update later today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Coffee's ready as is the usual morning beverages. Breakfast is blueberry pancakes, butter, real maple syrup with crispy bacon and/or pan sausages; dig in.

What's happening in your world.

It's a sunny but brisk 52 with a high of 72 in New York; having a cool down for about a week. Grocery shopping is the plan of the day then maybe some bench time or mowing the lawn; which ever strikes my fancy. That's it from here.

Have a great day!! Be well.

The burn-in test of my LEDs was successful, and the resistor didn't even feel warm to the touch.  So today I'll install the lights onto the structure.

It's a prefect day, it got down to about 55 last night, heading to 75 today.  Sunny and dry.

Sun 8)  and clear in mid Michigan.  Temps in the 50s should go to upper 70s.  It's quite clear and less humid than we've had.

Spent an hour or so on the layout. ::)  Put off fiddling with the decoder.  :-\

PT later today.  No other plans, bills to pay as the "eagle" has deposited it's piddling dump.  For some reason my bank showed my Soc Sec, not due till Wed and Retirement, due today, included in the available balance earlier than normal.  Will send out semi-annual tax payments today. :'(

Enjoy the day all.  Keep it between the ditches.

Good morning Larry, Dave, Curt, Terry, Karl, Rick, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast, hope you enjoy whatever you plan to do today.

Dave, glad the LED burn-in test was a success.

Curt, Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Terry, have a great day.

Rick, hope the errand run goes well.

Jerry, hope you have a successful day at the bench, if you make it there today.  ;D

Currently it's a cool 17c (63f) and cloudy here.    In order to figure the height of the pile bent that will connect the girder bridge to the trestle section I needed to add bridge shoes to the underside of the girder bridge. Seeing as I don't have any of the appropriate size (only have N scale ones) I spent some time at the bench yesterday 3d printing the bridge shoes from a file I found on Thingiverse.  Not sure what tonight will bring.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 77F but the humidity was brutal. Dad's appointment went OK yesterday but follow on testing is needed for his liver function.

Recieved notice from the royal mail that the K.I.R package has been received, and a notice from USPS that the cabin car should be here tomorrow.

Not sure what's going on today but I'm sure MOH will have some input. ;)

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning;

Thanks for the coffee. Great photo too!

Here we had one of the strongest thunderstorms I have ever been in yesterday and having been in Florida since 1973 I have seen a few. Rain gauge says almost 6 inches and paper says a home about two miles away was hit by lightning and heavily damaged by resulting fire. It was quite the fireworks show.

Today some yard work and bench time. The wife is off to get her car's oil changed so I have some time to read the paper first. Have a great day folks.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt, much appreciated.

Rick, great photo of Star and all the wild flowers.

I didn't check in yesterday as I spent the entire day in Port St. Lucie/Stuart, Fl area. I was helping my cousin, Nancy, with some of her late brothers estate. I think I mentioned he passed last month from liver cancer. Rusty and I spent many summers camping, boating and hiking all over the place. Anyway, he designated Nancy as his Estate Executor and she is a bit overwhelmed.

His daughter was also there and she wasn't happy that the gold and silver wasn't left all to her. I told Nancy when the assets are divided in a will, there will always be some greedy family member complaining. I also told her that in Florida, the Executor is entitled to a percentage to the estate. Rusty left the responsible person in charge. Nancy gave the daughter half of the gold and silver and she took the other half. Pam and I went down to help Nancy with a few decisions. Rusty named me in the will to assist/advise Nancy on how and what to do if she asked.

Okay, enough family drama for today. We have bowling practice at noon, I have a doctor's app. at 3:40 and then date night with Pam.

No modeling for me today.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.
