Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast; hope your Dad's test has positive results. With all theses kits coming, along with SW, you'll be having fun for months.

Rick safe travels and great photo of Star; looks like she's had a workout.

Jim bad storms are not pleasant; glad you faired ok.

Tom I feel for you. I helped Ellie with her sister's estate and family can be a real PITA!!!!! It took 3 years and a Judicial settlement by the courts to get the thing finished up. Lesson learned? NEVER again. Have fun bowling.

What are your plans for the day.

It's a cloudy 58 with a high of 78 in New York. Have to take Mr. B's blanket to the laundramat for a wash and dry; will pickup a few items I missed yesterday while that's doing its thing. Never made it to the bench yesterday and today I have the dreaded "honey do list" so bench time is a big ?.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Sunny day, except for a few quick passing storms later today and some work to do for a client this afternoon.

A rant for a nice day.....

I'm still having computer problems that started over three months ago. According to three different techs, Dell is getting hundreds of calls from customers with problems caused by Microsoft's latest updates for Windows 10. My computer started first after a flurry or updates, got sent back to Dell and returned with a reinstalled operating system and all my my programs gone. Pegi's machine started freezing up after another flurry of updates, was sent back to Dell, got the motherboard and nVidia video card replaced, tested , pronounced fixed and returned. After a half hour of use it froze up again. Not happy..... >:(

Apparently these majority of the updates are not about Windows 10 fixes, but are preparing the computers for the forced move to Windows 11 in October. It has been causing a major headache for an unusually large percent of the user base. Other than DOS, Windows has only had a couple of variants that have been stable and most have been a pain for the consumer. Thanks Microsoft, looks like Windows 11 will be continuing that proud tradition.....

Anyone heard about this situation?

Rick, give Star a good ear scratch for me, she looks like she's raring to hit the trail.....

Rick great picture of Star.

Morning Jim nice to see you here.

Tom there's always someone who is unhappy the way the will goes.

Larry "The Dreaded Honey Do List" I feel sorry for you not really I have one for today also.

Morning Philip have a nice day.

Greg I sure hope that doesn't start happening with my windows 10!!!

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/70.  Looks like rain the next two days.
I have all four sides framed now.
I tried a new color for the outside walls which for some reason will not peel the paint.  I have no idea why!!!
Will try it again today.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Cool and overcast after several inches of rain over night. Much needed. My bones ache from the changes.

Main computer has a low resolution screen indicating what might be a Bios update or something like that. I didn't initiate it. I can't get it to go away. Hit EXIT and it shuts down, reboots and comes right back on   I finally manually shut it down. Screen shot image is Too Big for the forum. Just my luck. I signed up for Starlink and another wrench in my gears. Oh joy.

Update: after the forced nap the PC rebooted normally with no sign of the problem.

Best to George today, valve replacement he posted on the other side of the room. Prayers and best thoughts.

Enuf of my whining. No idea of plans.   :-\

Good morning from Vancouver. I thought I had replied and it was accepted last night but I can't find my overly long response. Rick asked if we were enjoying Vancouver and the answer is very much so!

Arrived Saturday midafternoon. The AirB&B is on the 11th floor of a very nice building downtown smack in the middle of the financial district. Great meal Sunday night, steamed dumplings, Korean wings, grilled shrimp and a few too many other things.

Sunday we day tripped using the on/off tour bus and we rode through the full trip just absorbing the city and the tour commentary for 2 hours. We skipped the Stanley Park get off and walk (doing that today) but did explore 3 other neighborhood/districts and were very delighted.

Yesterday we did the 5 hour whale watching trip and we were successful. My pictures sucked on my smart phone but the 1st mate also doubles as the tour photographer and with the 4'lense got some great pictures.

One Sunday we skipped the neighborhood harbor district as we knew it's where we caught the boat for whale watching. After the whales we did Granville Island and it was fun with great food.

So we are having a good time, the scenery has been covered by low clouds, overcast and a marine haze that has not been burning off but we can still tell it's spectacular

Onto Seattle tomorrow

Greg if you go to the "How to Geek" website, google it, and search how to turn off windows update it'll tell you exactly how to perform the task. Luckily my laptop and my wife's are both loaded with Win 11. Since I hate windows my main computer is a Mac. Hope this helps.

Life is too short to deal with Microsoft Windows!

Some sun has poked through the clouds, but it's still pleasantly cool.  I'm back from moving some bookcases for a neighbor in my pick-up.  They just fit in my bed (king cab Frontier, so a 'full size' bed).  I said to the neighbor, "I just don't get why people buy a 4-door pick-up with that too-short bed."  Anyway, after taking the dogs for a walk, I'll go down, test the LEDs, then add some CA insurance to hold them in place.

Good morning everyone.

Grand Coulee weather: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 87.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs, cheddar and chorizo for breakfast today.

Dave, if I were to get another pickup I'd get a four door so I could haul the grandkids around.

TomO, I saw your whale pics and you got some good shots.

Karl and Greg, just get an iMac and be done with it.  8)  ;D
Starlink should be plug and play for the most part.

Jerry, hope you got the paint to peel.

Philip, good news on the weather changing for the better.

Larry, honey-do list done?

ACLTom, sorry you have to go through more family and paperwork drama.

Jim, glad the storm didn't cause a problem.

Curt, cabin car show up?

Mike and Ron, how are you?

Up bright and early for another hike.
It's a short one today that's only 4 miles and less than 900 of EG but should have good views at the top.

This was sunset yesterday at camp.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Great looking SS. Enjoy your hike.

Yesterday after inside chores I decided to put down veg killer via a 2 gallon garden sprayer around the edges of everything outside. After that I did some pool cleaning. After my second shower I was done and pretty much sat on my backside the rest of the day. ::)

Today I have errands to run. MOH is still dealing with a stomach virus that started yesterday. I will be shocked if the cabin car shows up today. Late yesterday it was still in PA. After I get it, but before assembly Tom is going to tap the holes for the light kit.

TomO your vacation sounds great.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice photo and enjoy your hike. Yes
the "honey do" list was completed yesterday.

Curt the mail is anything but on time and nice Tom's going to help you with
the lights. Hope you don't get what your wife has.

What's your plans today.

It's a rainy 57 with a high of 61 in New York. We need the rain, any grass that's out in the sun is brown
so a day of gentle rain is welcomed.  Made it the bench yesterday working on scenery material and hopefully more today. I do need to go and pick up a Rx for Ellie so maybe this afternoon.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, great picture as well. Thanks Rick, comes with being responsible I guess.

Pam bought herself a Lexus conv. She waited until her mom passed so she didn't have to hear any negative comments. I'll show pictures later in the week.

Bowling was fine, I averaged 186 for three games. We also learned one of the ladies in our league passed last week. Our league is called Club 50+ Bowlers. We lost two member since January.

I have a guest coming over at 1:30 to see the layout. So, not much modeling today either.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Your photos continue to be absolutely amazing.

Curt, a man's work is never done.  Wishing you a relaxing day.

Larry, I suspect you'll be getting some rain soon.  Enjoy the bench.

TomACL. congrats to Pam.  Hope you enjoy the day with your friend.

Kyle, those backdrops are amazing. Fantastic work as usual.  Congrats!

Dave, indeed!

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another overcast day with a forecast of 90°F.  The rain looks iffy for the next week.

Yesterday was a miserable day at the bench.  I was working on the floor and roof for the lodge, reached into a drawer to get the cardboard for the roof, and sliced the tip of my little finger down to the nail on the serrated cutting edge of a roll of aluminum foil.  Blood thinners made it slow going to stop the bleeding.  Anyway, that ruined the rest of the day for modeling. Today typing is slow.  In other news, I took Sweetie to the SPA for a trim and bath.  Groceries will be here in a few minutes.  I am not sure what I can do at the bench with this finger, but I'll try.

Have fun,
mike
