Good morning everyone.

Lakeview weather: It's 34 now and will shoot all the way to 45 later. Cloudy all day and even a chance of s#$@.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and have fun with Trainz.

ACLTom, sorry about the upcoming surgery and good luck with the video.

TomO, sorry about your grandsons loss.
I've been following along on your bridge build and it's looking good.

Karl, have fun at Andy's.

Mike, sorry you had such a distressing day yesterday.  ;D
But in the modeling world that's actually a good day of progress.

Curt, good news getting the roof directions sorted out.

Dave, glad you found your box of boxes.

Hello Terry.

Jim, congratulations on your awards and they are well deserved.

Jerry, I'm afraid to ask if you made it to the bench.

Ron, did you get the rest of the backdrop up?

Headed about 70 miles south on 31 to my next campsite.
It's a very nice spot and there's also a trailhead here which was a nice surprise.
So I guess you'll will know what Star and I will do today.

Couple of days ago I hiked the Paulina Lake Loop with my friend Whit.
Here's one picture from that hike.

Good morning Larry, Curt, Karl, Mike, TomO, ACLTom, Rick, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, have fun playing with the TrainZ program.

Jim, congtats on the 2 merit awards, they are 2 great looking models.

Curt, hope you sleep better tonight.

Karl, have fun at the ops session.

Mike, enjoy your day.

TomO, hope you get the swing bridge finished today.

ACLTom, looking forward to the video.

Rick, Enjoy your hike with Star.

Philip, It's amazing that AI can do today.

It's thanksgiving here today so HAPPY THANKSGIVING CANADA ! ! ! !  (I know we celebrate it early here).

Another sunny day with the current temperature at 10c (50f) with the sun shining brightly.  Managed to install another section of the backdrop yesterday. The section needs to be held in place till the glue sets as the rounded corners add a lot of force to the flat sections.  The plan today is to install the third and final section.

Have a great day everyone.

That's right, I forgot about early Canadian Thanksgiving.  Happy Day to those up north.

The promised Nor'Easter rainfall is AWOL, it's just breezy here.  Lots of pine needles, though.  After German zoom class, I'll head back down to the train room.

TomO I guess the grandson was not a happy camper after the game!!

Tom I hope he doesn't have to cut this time.
Great pictures.

Rick chance of snow you better get going!!
Nice picture looks like a great lake to fish.

Philip that is really cool.

Ron Happy Thanksgiving!

Morning Dave.

Weather in South Jersey is rainy/60.
Then "Weather Weenies" really blew this one.  Calling for 4 inches of rain and wind gusts of 60mph.
God don't they have windows in the offices!!
Well there was no bench time again yesterday.
I think the 1:1 stuff is done so we will see if I can manage an hour or two.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Morning One & All,

The coffee's ready along with your other favorite morning beverages. Breakfast is breakfast Burritos (scrambled eggs, salsa, and sharp shredded cheddar on a warm soft shell),bacon on the side along with potato patties. There's also a bottle of hot sauce available if you want a little more zip.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a dark 51 with a high of 65; rained on and off most of yesterday. Spent a good portion of the day fiddling with Trainz and made some headway; along with running a few consists. Still a ways to go with the learning curve. Need to call the Pharmacy and check on a script for Ellie to see what the holdup is. Maybe some bench time later before I go into withdrawal.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. I hope you make it to the workbench today. Is Trainz some sort of computer program?

Started out the day with a walk at 65F and low humidity. Yesterday after the chores and errands I managed about 45 minutes at the workbench, mainly cutting and coloring strip wood for the roof.

Today after animal chores I should be free to head to the workbench. If I get the roof installed I'll do an update.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, Larry, Curt and later arrivals.  It's been raining on the NH seacoast since last night, but my gauge only shows an inch; A lot compared to any storm since May, but only a small dent in our deficit.

Plumber never came yesterday, and SharkBite has increased their PEX tubing's diameter; two stores I tried yesterday didn't have parts to fit my old tubing, this morning I'll see if Amesbury Industrial Supply comes through for me.  Some bills to pay, finish putting on the storms, a few other "Fall has finally arrived" chores.  But still, we're half way through October with only one frosty morning.

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and the burrito.  Funny how we get the itch to visit the bench.

Curt, good luck with the roof.

James, hope you find the tubing you need.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright morning at 54F, headed to 84F this afternoon.  Sadly, no rain in sight. I may start on the oil derrick today and glue the deck boards on the stock car.  We have a birthday party for the in-laws tonight.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Masonic Lodge and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry. I'll put fresh FL OJ on the table as well.

Karl, great  photo of the B&O diesels. Looks like a great layout to visit.

I finally got the video finished and published on YouTube. I'm still learning but it is a time consuming bit of fun.

We have bowling at noon and the a late lunch/early dinner.

Have a great day and stay safe everyone.

Good morning from Wisconsin where either Mother Nature is really confused or the weather guessers need to go back to school. An unexpected rain yesterday that had the morning weather cutey just orgasmic. We got a "whole" trace of rain and a gloomy strange day yesterday but she was happy. Today, low sixties for the high with rain and cooler temperatures moving in after 3pm

For some reason I've lost the ability to post pictures here, but I'll figure it out again. The latest OS upgrade for Apple last week has really messed with me posting pictures anywhere but Facebook

I am building a Walthers double track Swing bridge for a friend. Not small at 27 and 5/8" but the space I have to place it on his layout is 42" which will make for a great scene. I dislike Walthers instructions as poorly written and generally lacking. But I've learned is read them, inventory and mark the parts, read again and finally dry fit before gluing. Still at times it's a head shaker. Give me a kitbash or a scratch build any day but straight Walthers for me has been rare since just before COVID. I thought the bridge would be ready for priming today. But I decided to follow the actual build sequence and wait to add the bridge track before gluing the cross bracing and ironwork across the top of the bridge trusses. So I'll prime what I can. I taped off the sections where the glue will go and I'll spray this morning

Later if Terry can find a decent sounding movie that's not a kids or horror one we will go this afternoon to the theater

The grandson texted me back about the 0-7 Sunday morning defeat Monday when I teased him about it in a text. His response was we tried, had fun for most of the game but it's done and they were very good. Smart kid, very proud of him 90% of the time

Enjoy the day
TomO
