Quote from: elwoodblues on January 23, 2026, 10:03:18 AMGood morning Rick, Larry, Curt, ACLTom, Terry, Karl, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Current temperature is -16c (3f) and sunny.  The white stuff is supposed to hit Sunday.  No modeling last night as I got a call from my buddy who is in a band who was playing at a pub near by so I ended up drinking beer and listening to great music.  No work today so I should get some time at the work bench.

Have a great day everyone.

A perfect way to end the day!!!!!  :) :D ;D

Afternoon all! All is peachy cold. Another provisional trip and just waiting in the Ohio Valley.
Looks like 8-12 of the snowman stuff. The fear is the sleet and the brutal cold blowing in from Karl's outpost.

Great video Karl BTW!

Good evening folks,

I wasn't up to much today, so I am late to check in.

Rick, thanks for opening this morning. Nice hike for you and Star.  I love it that you two can hike together.

Curt, your morning walks are an inspiration for me to hit the bike.  Nice job weathering the planks.

Larry, hope you stay nice and warm up there.  Brrr...

TomACL, I hope the train shed was fun as well as productive.  Congrats on the Koontz completion.

Dave, the farmer's bridge looks great.

Karl, what a photo!  Stay warm up there. The trestle bents looks great!

Jim, nice 3D prints.

Terry, howdy!

Jerry, our weather forecast keeps shifting like yours.  In any case, it's cold.

Ron, the music and beer sound fantastic.

Dave, howdy.

Philip, that weather sounds brutal.

Looks like most of us are in for some real winter weather.  Wishing safe travels if you are out and about.

Today was a non-day, except that I am still here.  I kept the recliner from hitting the ceiling.  I just didn't feel like going upstairs.  I finished the Sheriff's office steps to completion in my head, so I know what to do tomorrow.

Have fun,
mike

I did, pardon my failure to acknowledge my appreciation.

I'm finding that those Campbell kits are full of various sizes and variations of sticks that lead to some interesting confusion in which is which.  :o Most were originally packed in bundles wrapped in no longer elastic rubber bands but not labeled or described in the directions. Luckily my Constructors License has wide latitude. No nit pickin' sommamabeeches checking my work.

I did find one bundle a prior owner had labeled a bundle as being 1/12" x 2/16" :o

I bought my first set of cheap digital calipers to measure batches of stripwood from a kit where all the rubber bands had failed.  :D

Glad you found my notes useful, they were a late post so I wasn't sure you caught them.

Mike, this is an excellent way to model!  ;D
Now why didn't I think of that?? LOL
