Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Have fun with the shed.

Larry hope you make the bench later on.

Hell of a hike Rick.
Nice picture but kind of bare.

Mike glad you liked the movie.

Karl Will the layout be on the list today?  ;)

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/38.  Later on 43.
We have a short grocery list to take care of this morning.
Never did get to the windows yesterday but the floor is almost done.
Hope to work on both today.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Jerry

I had a 4Runner as a rental car once, I hated it.  So to each his/her own...

Today's photo is a Roman bridge in Provence:

It's sunny here with puffy clouds.  The dusting of snow we got last night should melt quickly.  I need to go to the store today, otherwise an open day.  So I might tackle some scenery.

Good morning Curt, Larry, Rick, Mike, Karl, Jerry, Dave and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, sounds like you have a busy week planned.

Larry, hope you get some bench time in.

Rick, that was quite a hike, I bet you and Star slept well last night.

Mike, have fun with the little folk painting.

Karl, hope what you plan to do today includes trains.

Jerry, sounds like there will be another update in the very near future.

Dave, Have fun with the scenery, it you get to it today.

Current temperature here is -3c (27f) and cloudy.  High is supposed to be 2c (35f), that should help with the remaining white stuff.  Well, I spent last night going down a rabbit hole.  :o  A member of the modular group gave me a 5mm planetary stepper motor with gearbox and asked me to come up with a way to sketch to use them to control turnouts using an Arduino.  Guess What I will be doing soon. ;D  In case anyone is wondering what a planetary stepper motor is, here is a picture of one.

Does your friend have a source for those at a good price?  I've looked at them, but they were a lot more expensive than conventional servos.

Good morning everyone.

It's 50 in Bellemont, sunny and 76 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Empanadas for breakfast today filled with your choice of either ground beef or chicken, peppers and onions.

Karl, the analogy of workers cleaning up after elephants was funny.
I don't understand what was broken in that last video.
At first I thought the rail was broken but then all they did was remove the wood alongside the rail.

Ron, let us know how your planetary stepper motor project goes.

Dave, the romans sure knew how to build things that lasted.

Jerry, the hike in yesterdays photo is best done in the fall when the aspen leaves have turned a golden yellow.

Mike, still painting figures?

How's everyone else?

Great news from the doctor yesterday.
He messaged me before I could message him and he said the equipment will be in the hospital next week and he would try and get me in either next Wednesday or Thursday.
I had a hike planned for tomorrow, but I might do it today and then start to slowly make my way back to Bullhead City.

My view from camp a couple days ago before the sun set.

The Mezquita mosque in Cordoba, Spain.  The columns are recycled from Roman structures.image.jpeg
This is one of those buildings where photos just don't do it justice.  After the Reconquesta where the Christians retook Spain from the Muslims, they built a small church in the middle.  Even Charles V was unimpressed by that.

On elephants:  A friend was named to run a part of our program that I thought was particularly messed up.  I told him, "Congratulations on being named 'Commander of the Lower Deck of the Ark'.  "

Another open day today, we'll see if I build up steam to work on the scenery.  My Woodland Scenics barbed wire fence arrived yesterday, those look pretty good.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Great news on the medical front; one done that should put your mind at ease. Gorgeous photo.

Dave hope you find the energy for scenery work; if not there's always tomorrow.

How's the rest of the gang doing?

It's a sunny 32 with a high of 55; maybe this afternoon I'll start a little yard work. Some bench time this am and that's about it from these parts.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Rick thanks for opening and breakfast. Great news from the doctor.

Started out the day with a walk at 67F and going to 82F later.

With this week's schedule I won't make it to the workbench until at least Saturday.  Today going to the movies ;D with son, but then he needs to go to Wally World >:(.

Tomorrow we have a pick up of 2 skunks being surrendered (Lakeland) to the rescue and Fri is my VA appointment. I'm bringing Dad along so he can do his blood work during my appointment which saves me a trip. His appointment is on the 13th.

That's all I got.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Sun just broke thru, 0930, in MI.  Temp in upper 20s going to approach 40 if we're lucky.

I did get some time in on the layout yesterday, painted some rock(ish) areas and then toned down the while in the trestle area with some ground base, reddish dirt color.  Menards sold me a can of what must have been old paint. >:( as the can had dried up crap inside the edge of the can and some gross sxxx on the lid.  I used it anyhow, it's ok as a base for ground cover.  It looks a bit stark until I get more cover materials in place.  Btw the paint is Pittsburgh brand pix below.

I did a couple batches of small stuff on the 3d machine yesterday that came out well.  UV them today.

Dave, I wasn't asking for permission,  ;D  we are on our 3rd 4 runner, the Doll loves them.  They are terribly expensive new, and scarce as hell used.  She'd been looking every day since before Christmas before finding this one as they are either whipped dogs, rebuilt wrecks, or badly treated per the carfax info.  Dealers can't keep them no matter the shape. Been in some places with the prior 4Runners that you'd not take much else. IMG_3991.jpeg
Sac Bay on the Garden Peninsula that is our first one.  New one is white.

Rick, good for the doc getting his equipment.  Hope you are able to get some relief.  Seems that it's been quite warm in AZ lately.  Read a comment on the webcam I watch from Elkhart that a commenter had watched a video from W AZ and they were having wild fires.

Enuf for now, be well folks.  Enjoy the day.

Karl looking forward to te scenery your doing.

Morning Philip.

Weather in South Jersey is P. sunny/47.  Later on 54.
I managed to get the floor glued to the plaster yesterday now to stain the wood.
Not sure what else will get done.

Everyone have a great day!! :)

Good evening everyone.

Was a long day today, with spending 7-1/2hrs traveling and another 4 hours in the office.  :o  No work tomorrow as my wife is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning so you can guess what i'll be doing.  Think I'll just sit by the fireplace tonight and catch up on some reading.

Have a great evening everyone.
