Morning all,

BRRRR!  It's twelve below zero here this morning, feels like thirty three below.  We'll get to a high of four below.

The electrician replaced the light on the back of the house yesterday.  It needs adjusting but due to the temperature issues, I'm not going out there today.  Too bad I was at work, I'd like to know how he did it if I need to replace one in the future.

Might get back to the build today, but might be lazy as it was a long day at work yesterday.

Cleaners come this morning, then I have to take wife to a dilation eye appointment.  I'll get some shopping done then.  Then it'll be pull out winter clothing to wear to Springfield tomorrow.  Sunday will be a disaster for the sellers at the show.  The snow starts late morning, and then the Patriots are playing in the afternoon.  The one good thing is the snow should end early Monday morning, allowing time for the plows to get to work so people can pack up and leave Monday.

Morning all,

Jeff. that is just to cold for anyone. A high of 4 below, gee, a warming trend.

Dave, I wish your wife well for the procedure.

I'll finish the CCK Doc Koontz build today and post the update later this afternoon.

Have a great day ya'll.

Minus 5 on the watch and 14 mph wind, BUT! It's Sunny! 8) there is another inch or so of new snow, I cleared off the 3-4" we had yesterday, brought in the mail and called it good.  :o

Too cold  :( for me to venture outside today unless something unexpected comes along.

Worked on the trestle yesterday.  ::) Went ok, more to do today.

KSin long johns.

Morning, All!!

It's warmed up to -2, but it still feels like -26 out there in the northern mitten, and the WGFA are arriving in small flakes.  Must be a Big Snow coming!  Roads are icy, indoors is still sweater weather, and the extra candle added to my younger son's Birthday Cake will hopefully lighten and warm things for the year ahead.  He's in Maine, though, and I'm still hunkered in the bunker in the northern mitten.  Grey blanket overhead is not helping....

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Well, Pete, this looks like a good year to not travel to Springfield.  Between the 'northern mitten' temps and the big snow Sunday into Monday, travel would be a PITA.

Dave, add to that Family Rebellion (don't go, etc), possibilities of rampaging flu and the hip issues that scared me off from the beginning and you have the complete picture.  Hoping lots of people post lots of good pix, and that all stay safe!

Good afternoon, all.  It's still sunny and above freezing in the lower Merrimack Valley, but the wind is picking up. I have a window to fix in an outbuilding this afternoon, so probably won't get much done on the layout.  Tomorrow, off to Springfield. I'd skip it if it was just to see the show, but I've volunteered to staff the Flying Yankee table on Sunday. I will be masked, and may start the 100 mile trip home early. With my freshly sharpened aluminum grain scoop in the back...

Dave, I think it's one of those "I live out where the streetcars don't run" things - more than 3/4 of a tank.
