2025-2026 Winter Challenge - AMB Interlocking Tower

To protect the interior green, I placed blue tape across the back to cover the color.

I then applied a heavier wash to the exterior. After covering one wall, I simply turned the wall over and pressed it down on a paper towel. I didn't move the wall, just pressed down and then lifted it.

After the second wash of reefer white.

For added interior detail, I decided to have some wainscoting and trim.

I found a small sheet of material in the scrap box and stained it with the Floquil Teak Flo-Stain.

I measured and cut the wainscoting and glued them on the lower portion of the wall, just below the windows.

The wall in the next photo won't face the layout isle and thus this interior wall won't be seen by any visitor. Still it didn't fit in my nature to know the interior wasn't complete.

I needed to run the wainscoting around the interior brace.

All four walls now have the wainscoting.

Now I needed to add the top trim boards. I used 1X3s for the top trim.

I did stop by yesterday and left a comment, but cyber space seems to have gobbled it up. Knowing your 'nature' I'm surprised you didn't mitre the corners on the wainscoting! It looks great.

Great job on the wainscotting. I don't plan an interior on mine, but I did paint the inside.

Well, you got me there. I did think about mitering the corners but decided not to. No plausible reason.
