Quote from: Rick on January 29, 2026, 06:09:12 PMTom, nice seeing you back at it.
I like your color choices.
Rick,

Thank you and I just had 1:1 stuff to do for a couple of days.

Quote from: Jim Donovan on February 01, 2026, 09:43:13 AMHi Tom;

Sorry for taking so long to pop in and catch up. I always love following your builds and this one is no exception. I picked up on the various color schemes the Atlantic Coast Line used for their stations. The Lady Lake station (now museum) recently reworked its paint scheme to the old white with light purple trim. It looks good. I also want to say I love the screens! Nice touch.

Jim

Jim,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I vaguely remember the Sanford freight station being trimmed in purple.

Quote from: Jerry on February 01, 2026, 11:06:36 AMVery nice color choice for those windows.
And a nice fix on the broken piece.

I think the inside window color is perfect with the wainscoting.

Jerry

Jerry,

I appreciate the comment on the interior color and wainscoting, thank you.

Colour scheme looks good.

Cheers, Mark.

Mark, Cheers,

Thanks very much. These are the colors for the A&S RR. 95% of the A&S structures are in this paint scheme.

I forgot to show the screen material I used. I've mentioned this in many other builds but just forgot to show it here.

I got this at Joann's Fabrics. 60 feet of this stuff will last me two lifetimes.

Once all the windows and screens were installed, I began to glue the walls together.

Of course, I made sure the walls were all square.

I made a test fir of the platform at the top of the stairs.

It didn't fit flush into to opening.

I realized I got glue in the opening when gluing the walls together. I thought I avoided this.

Here is how I removed the glue without destroying the build.

I used the Dremel tool and a small drill bit. I used the Dremel as a router and routed out the glue.

Now it fits as it should, snug and flush to the wall.

I wanted to use some interlocking tower control levers in the tower.  If I couldn't find any, I was going to scratch build them. Luckily, I found a company that makes them. They come ten to a pack.

These are HO scale and very well done.

I painted the mainline levers red, siding white and interchange tracks yellow.

I scratch built a platform and found a tower operator.

Tom the building is looking great!

But the levers are just perfect what an interior this is going to be!!!!
